Certainly Pyrrhic Victory, and now there are tens of thousands of Republicans who switched to the Dhimmcrat Party and they may stay there.
Yeah riiiight, registered republicans who listen to Limbaugh and are so motivated and jazzed to wreak havoc in the dem primary that they would be apathetic, confused or content to stay in the dem party and vote however Howie Dean wants them too. Sure, you and Howie can keep on dreaming.

As I understand it, Operation Chaos has as it's goal prolonging the Democrat primary campaign for as long as possible, with the potential of a disastrous convention in August, which would leave little time for them to congeal before November.
During this time, Democrats will also be spending their wads attacking each other, instead of attacking (and defining) McCain, and the MSM will be similarly preoccupied, while McCain is free to do whatever he can to make his case and to raise funds.
The premise also has to do with the hope that enough Republicans will stop whining about McCain for long enough to defeat either Hillary OR Obama, no matter who is nominated by the Democrats.
While unconvinced when this all began, I now find myself in agreement with Rush (who probably understands that political culture in the USA far better than anybody). Furthermore, even the MSM is grudgingly reporting evidence that these objectives are being fulfilled.
Nothing succeeds like success.

I caught that interview and why he didn't make her explain the Nuclear Energy votes is beyond me. "There's plenty of blame to go around" isn't an answer. She was afraid to answer it and Bill didn't make her. Puff-Ball

I think Rush is taking too much credit. It isnt the Republican crossover vote which is making the Hillary/Obama contest such a struggle. On the other hand, I like the publicity as a form of payback. I think that Democratic crossover voters influenced the success of McCain in some of the closer GOP primaries.
I have no idea if the battle between the 2 losers is increased by Rush or not...but I did get a call tonight from Hillary to vote for her on Tuesday...I have always been registered Republican and never never voter Democrap...
That just makes me think the Dems may well believe Rush has an effect on Republican voters...
As far as Democratic crossover voters influenced the success of McCain in some of the closer GOP primaries. I have too agree they did...if conservatives voted, the outcome would have been different for McCain

"Have always been suspicious of Perot's candidacy." Watching that happen twice made it crystal-clear to me.
Same thing happened w/ Bush and Nader, twice.
That's why Reagan got shot. Moving too far too fast. Apparently didn't listen. Same w/ Kennedy. Makes it interesting to watch but depressing to know it's all fixed anyway.

Judging by some of the comments, Operation Chaos is not only affecting the dems but maybe the GOP and some Freepers as well.
To: rabidralph
I think Hillary should be their nominee. B.O. supporters will be very angry and then not vote.Wish it were so. Most of the BO supporters will crawl over broken glass to vote against McCain, even if it means voting for Hillary. But cheer up, a lot of Dems that voted for her in primaries will vote for McCain as long as his Veep selection works. A lot of Hillary's "support" is just anti-BO -- not racist, but Hillary is running more to the center than Obama.

At this point, I feel that the American public is beginning to see that both Obama and Hillary are fatally flawed and not deserving of the White House. I think a lot of Democrats are going to hold their nose and vote for Ralph Nader. Probably some Republicans, too.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
He was right because the media and hollywood are going to overwhelmingly work for Obama’s election. It would have been a tsunami of mainstream support. Tom Hanks was the first. Hilary’s job is to make him unelectable so his base will fail. If he’s elected, she’ll never be president.

"would not have become an issue without Mrs. Clinton staying in the race"
Sure they would have, just would have happened in the fall, after the conventions. There is no way that story would have been missed, operation chaos or not.
