FYI- Great whites have always been in the waters off the California coast. Northern and southern. Global warming-feh.
Maybe we can blame the mortgage crisis on global warming too...........
I was afraid they were going to blame George W.
I thought it was Bush’s fault?
Or could it be more people surfing and invading the sharks’ environment? There would be no fatalities if everyone stayed out of the water.
I thought that it was ‘cause of the greenies who won’t let us eliminate the tasty seals from the coastline.
I tell you...those nitwits at The Guardian! How do they manage to get the ink on the paper???
Isn’t this an argument for even higher gas prices in order to reduce shark attacks?
Higher prices + lower demand + less green house gases.
NAH! Can’t be because the Mexicans “feed” the sharks for the tourists to go GAGA over. Like they do in the Bahamas .
Can’t be because humans don’t hunt them anymore.
Can’t be that the Sharks are responsible for the disappearance of the California Sea Otter either.
Can’t be because the Strongest Survive.
I guess that just answered my question on the other thread.
If threatening me that my lawn is going to die because of global warming doesn’t work, you can always scare me with the threat of shark attack.
Something I have to fear in CNY. How can I sleep at night with this hanging over my head?
I'll take the increase of seals as the reason.
The lack of shark attacks, if it was occurring, would be blamed on global warming.
In the case of whites, the idea is you go out in a 25" boat with a length of nylon rope, a big hook, a rubber seal and one of those lever-action 45/70 Marlin rifles, and you aim for the gills since sharks don't really have enough of a brain to shoot at. You'd only have to kill three or four of them, the rest would all kill eachother.
One problem.........
The oceans have not been warming.

Some 3,000 scientific robots that are plying the ocean have sent home a puzzling message. These diving instruments suggest that the oceans have not warmed up at all over the past four or five years.
