The fall election might be okay, though. Keep in mind that many black Democrats are thinking about running as Independents — that is, they want to bypass the party primary because they realize the Dems. really don’t want them to win. If that happens in the 6th — and there is a good chance that Michael Jackson (no, not that one) will run as an Indep. — then Don Tax-a-you better enjoy his short stay in DC. Of course, that is predicated on a stronger GOP candidate running.

The Bush legacy lives on. We’re going to get crushed in November. The only thing that could have saved that was a huge turnout on our side. Instead, we have John McCain which all be guarantees a lot of us stay home. What a mess.

One thing about LA politics is that it’s often difficult to distinguish R’s from D’s without a notation. Many Dems here are conservative and propose pro-gun rights bills and tax cuts and anti-abortion legislation. Now, I don’t know about Cazayoux but it’s likely that many in that district think there will be little difference. There obviously not considering that no matter how conservative he is, his election boosts Pelosi’s standing. Also, Jenkins in the past has been successfully labeled as religious zealot-type.

Well this is two special elections the Pubs have lost. One would think that down South the Pubs would be unifying to run in Nov. But, no, they are sleep walking through another 2006. Even if ole John wins, the Pubs may lose more than 30 seats thus simply eliminating them as far as brakes on spending, stronger border control and military superiority. Pubs simply have to wake up. The Dems are hell bent on making this nation a socialist pacifist country and Pubs just think it is a niche and stich in time and a few tune ups will bring them back to power.
