I should have waited for this thriller to comment... LOL

“One glaring omission in your statement is the lack of will power to make any movement back to the conservative right! It is also an admission that you, and many others like you, are so willing to incrementally appease socialism knowing full well socialists never cede their principles by moving to the right!”

You are a fool! By definition, a conservative seeks to CONSERVE! McCain IS conservative on some 60% or more of his platform. This means a vote for McCain is a vote to CONSERVE at least 60% of my conservative agenda. Not a vote to walk away from the other 40% which must be conserved against McCain’s will.

You on the other hand, will conserve nothing when you vote against a man who is at least 60% conservative on the issues, and seat a pure Marxist in the Oval Office.

Only a fool could kid himself into thinking he’s conserving anything by electing Clinton or Obama. I’m sure you are familiar with the results of those who thought like you in 1992 and 1996. If your myopic childish nonsense worked, we wouldn’t be having this conversation today.

Ross Perot protest voters gave us 8 years of Clinton and the same idiot thought’s will give us eight more with his Marxist wife.

Don’t bother responding. You have already demonstrated your inability to think like a clear headed conservative.

How many points do you agree with Clinton or Obama on?

If they like cute bunny rabbits, we agree on that.

I don't agree with authoritarians on much more than that, though.

Good reply, but he was the ONLY choice given me (conservative).Ergo we do not choose, the global elitists do, ala Hilary, OB, and John Mc.

Now, do you prefer ten giant leaps into socialism or a couple baby steps down the road we are already on and trying the get off?

The premise of your question presumes the way to defeat socialism is by accepting at least some socialism. There is no off ramp with that line of thinking and is precisely the reason why the GOP has McCain as the presumptive nominee. Choosing between a slow march and a fast march towards socialism still brings you to the same spot. I decided to exit off that highway a long time ago. Under no circumstance will I support a socialist in the GOP or the Democrat party. The socialists thank you for failing to realize you are the proverbial frog in the pot slowly being cooked in the socialist stew.

I would be a fool to accept your loose and vague interpretation of conservatism. Using a word to describe itself is not a definition of that word. McCain doesn't come close to any measure of conservatism when you consider:

1. He sought out the socialist Democrats in 2001 to become a member of their party.

2. Has been funded by communist billionaire George Soros.

3. He was considered in 2004 by socialist John Kerry as a VP running mate.

4. Supports granting amnesty to illegal aliens strongly enough to sponsor a bill with flaming socialist Joe Lieberman(McCain-Kennedy bill)

5. Supports restricting free speech strongly enough to sponsor a bill with socialist Russ Feingold(McCain-Feingold)

6. Supports the human induced global warming strategy strongly enough to sponsor a bill with socialist Joe Lieberman(Lieberman-McCain Stewardship Climate Act).

7. Has supported abortion including being endorsed by the pro abortion group Republicans For Choice Political Action Committee. He was against the repeal of Roe V Wade as he stated in an interview with The San Francisco Chronicle in August of 1999. To quote: "I’d love to see a point where it is irrelevant, and could be repealed because abortion is no longer necessary. But certainly in the short term, or even the long term, I would not support repeal of Roe v. Wade, which would then force X number of women in America to [undergo] illegal and dangerous operations."

8. Two weeks ago McCain admonished his own party when the North Carolina GOP ran an ad against Obama. It sounds as though McCain is more concerned defending a socialist than supporting his own party.

The facts show McCain has repeatedly thumbed his nose at conservatives on many occasions over the years. I don't know how from the above facts you gleam 60% but you must be using the new fuzzy logic math the GOP has been using to convince conservatives the party still represents them.

You are a delusional fool...

Every conservative has only two choices this election, as of McCain becoming the nominee and conservatives failed to UNITE behind ONE (more) conservative candidate. So, they have themselves for blame for McCain.

Option # 1 - Support a candidate that represents more than 60% of my values, and then work on the other 40%.

Option # 2 - Support a candidate that we disagree with 1000% and spend the next four years trying to defend 100% of our values from anti-American Socialists in control of the executive, legislative and judicial branches, with no power to do so.

These are the ONLY two options now available in 2008.

All true conservatives will take Option #1 which allows them to conserve 60% of their agenda in a single vote, and focus on the other 40% by electing conservatives to congress, and after the election, with some power base from which to work.

Anyone who takes Option #2 is NOT a “conservative.”

They are, as I already pointed out, a delusional fool unable to conserve anything.

I cite overt acts McCain has used to court the socialist Democrats to be a member of their party, sponsored multiple bills with socialists and admonished his own party in defense of a staunch socialist/marxist and yet some how you interpret that as being 60% conservative and I'm the delusional fool? LOL!!!

You are the perfect illustration of how and why the GOP deluded itself into believing becoming some what socialistic will some how stop socialism by reaching out to a group of people in the name of "bipartisanship" who have no intention of ceding their socialist beliefs and thereby has aligned itself with the socialist Democrats.
