I think he was somewhat brainwashed in that church with his nutso wife. You listen to a message long enough... it just took someone waking him up and for that, I think he did pretty well. He’s still a jerk for falling for it in the first place.

Obama didn't sit in Wright's pew for 20 years and not agree with the Marxist/Black Liberation Theology. It was this very theology that attracted him to TUCC and Wright.
Ever since the Wright disavowal, Obama is flying in full stealth mode. He is now speaking only in code to his Black supporters.

He went to Chicago at college age because he wanted to be accepted as a black man and learn about his 'blackness' = he repudiated his white background.
He fell in with the radicals, the black racists and under the thumb of the Svengali, the Rev. Wrong.
He was a little 2 year old, who's black daddy abandoned him. a Few years later, his white momma shoved him off on her parents - his white grandparents - to raise.
This could leave a child to question what is was about him that made both father and mother not want him.
By his own writings, by the time he was a teen, he was terribly conflicted about being black...
He finally finds the daddy-like acceptance that had been missing all his life in the Rev. Wrong...to whom he clung for 20 years - whom he "could no sooner abandon..."
This man doesn't need to become the CIC - he needs long years of therapy...

in Philly, it was noted he had not gone into predominantly black neighborhoods; although he had a very high percentage of black votes cast, turnout was not as high as might have been expected.
