The Remote Guardian system eliminates the ability to sling loads with the V-22, a feature that the CV-22B does not need, but one the MV-22B will not give up fleet wide. (Heck, they even developed the M777 just so the MV-22B could sling it.)
The current contract between BAE Systems and SOCOM is to equip all CV-22Bs with the Remote Guardian System if the evaluation process is satisfactory.
The Marine Corps will not even exercise their options until that point, if ever.
Therefore, the I stand by my statement, and the title of the article you linked to is a bit optimistic.
I could also point to articles that proclaimed the General Dynamics Selected to Develop Turreted Gun System for V-22 Aircraft that never panned out.
so, unless BAE makes the Remote Guardian system easily removable while shipboard, very few if any MV-22Bs will be equipped with it.
It appears that NAVAIR has exercised their options.

BAE Systems Inc., Johnson City, N.Y., is being awarded a FFP pre-priced contract modification for $8,050,000 for a CV-22 interim defense weapon system productions option in support of U.S. Special Operations Command and NAVAIR. The work will be performed in Johnson City, NY 13790 from Apr. 30, 2008 through Jan. 31, 2009, using fiscal 06 SOCOM procurement funds and fiscal 08 Navy aircraft procurement funds. This is a within scope modification to a competitive contract where two offers were received. The contract number is H92222-08-C-0006-P00003.
