Interesting. Link to original here. Go to 4:40. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_wKOgMNs0U
What did you expect Pennebaker to say?
I don’t buy it at all.
Perot is a such a dbag.
He says “Those people are shi**ing!” and “How would you like to be in the White House....”, imo.
He’s not even talking about Hoosiers, but about the folks running the White House.
I initially believe the edited clip, but it’s now obvious to me that Kantor did not say either of the things the edited clip is trying to make you believe.
There is no question that he says sh**, but I can't exactly tell if he says sh** or sh**ing. It did seem as though he was referring to the voters or poll numbers (I THINK that's what they were looking at) as being worth sh**.
As for the N-word part...I'm at work, so I couldn't exactly put the volume all the way up and try to listen carefully. It was a bit hard to make out since I'm not exactly a lip reader.
As always, I will wait for a more resourceful Freeper to sort this out. =)
The shorter version has been doctored. You can’t make out what he whispered afterwords, but the part about there being a pause, then “in the whitehouse” seems to be true.
I was kind of shocked that someone would ever say what he is accused of saying on camera, I don’t care who was filming it.
For people like him being careful not to say anything on camera is second nature.
Looks like an internet dirty trick. Apologies to Kantor.
Nope. Won’t work. I have carefully viewed the subtitled clip and the longer, unmodified clip. They both show Kantor saying the exact same thing: It doesn’t matter whether Clinton wins Indiana because “those people are sh*t”. His point is that if IN is even close, then the election overall is in the bag for Clinton. That is, they don’t need people like the conservative white people of Indiana (who he hates) in order for Bill Clinton to win. At this point Kantor realizes they have won the election. He is delighted. He directs the cameraman to point the camera away from him and then chortlingly drops the bomb: “How would you like to be a white ni**er at this point?” George Stephanopoulos understands the question exactly and agrees with Kantor, shaking his head “no”. He, too, would not want to be one of those evil honky losers right now because they and their whole world are soon to be royally reamed by President Clinton.
I don't think so at all. See above for why.
I disagree entirely. See above.
Marking for later.
The sound has been turned up, but the n-bomb and its contect are actually more clear on the original.
Sorry, “context”.
I disagree entirely. What Kantor says is very clear to me.
One thing is for sure, there is reasonable doubt.
Where I come from, doubt about a charge sets a man free, even if I don’t like him.
BUMP!
Let’s see where this goes.

Title changed and claims removed, video re-posted.
I think that closes this case. The video’s creator has bailed.
Kantor didn’t say what the video creator claimed.
He does not say, “Those people are s******* in the WH.” He clearly says, “Those people (Indianans) are shitty.” This alone is enough for me, BTW. The words match his lips. Also the other, “White N*****” part, voice sounds exactly the same, and doesn’t sound doctored.
I do not understand your post and I stand by my analysis.
I think Kantor referred to the people of Indiana as “shi*” and then, referring more generally to conservative whites
faced with Clinton’s apparent victory, asked “How would
you like to be a white ni**er at this point?”
