A shockingly positive media account.
Ten shots fired and no good guys hurt.

I’m sure his relatives will be flooding out the crocodile tears saying that he was a good boy and shouldn’t have been shot. The gun control advocates will trot them out to demonstrate the evils of citizens being allowed to defend themselves.

Police said the citizen had a valid carry permit, and a right to protect himself. Irrespective of a permit, people have a right to protect themselves. The question is, under the law, how does one exercise this separate right without a permit?

As for the workers at Sinkers who were unarmed at the time they said they have plans to protect themselves in the future.Lesson learned, not too late.

Does Tennessee have a "felony murder" statute?
It would be fitting for Perp the Second to face life in prison on account of Perp the First assuming room temperature.

Good thing it wasn’t a cop who shot the robber, or we’d be hearing about “cold blooded murder” by the police. If the dead guy was black, Sharpton would be down in a heartbeat to stir things up.
To: stravinskyrules
The only downside to this is that some whiskey was lost.

If the dead guy was black, Sharpton would be down in a heartbeat to stir things up. The observation that the article studiously avoids any sort of description of either the deceased robber or his accomplice leads me to the conclusion that both were black.

Good thing it wasnt a cop who shot the robber, or wed be hearing about cold blooded murder by the police. Which is why I can't understand the position of most police forces on citizens carrying legally.
You'd think they'd rather show, mop up and move on than have to justify a shoot, fill out endless reports, turn in their weapon, be assigned to a desk, face a board of review, face the media, face the family who is filing a civil suit and possibly lose his job and possibly have to pay damages to said family.
Hey Officer! We're on YOUR side!
