I left San Diego, Mexifornia 14 years ago because the writing was on the wall. San Diego was slowly being turned into Tijuana. If it weren’t for the military presense in that town it would already be Tijuana.

I was born in Los Angeles, but I’ll never go back to that state.

They’ll push that Indio blood theory of reconquista all the way to Inuit lands.

Reconquista means Spain gets even with England in this way: Mexico’s Spanish overlords use their Indians and Mestizos as a battering ram against the Anglo oriented United States of America. Mariel boat lift was the same thing. This is Mexico’s Mariel boat lift where they get rid of undesirables and ruin large areas of the US. Which has already happened

—Notice the oil and gas discoveries at the Falklands and Argentina rumbling how the Islands are theirs?— More Spain vs England being played out

Interesting historical feud analysis. Of course, to the Spanish overlords, the peasants are always nothing more than labor or war fodder. If they can use the mestizos as a battering ram to breach the anglo walls, that’s great. The overlords know they will end up living in the castillo on the hill.

I don’t know much about California - I’ve only been there once - but I’d suspect from all I’ve read and heard that many of the most productive elements are getting out if they’re able - as cited in the book I referred to. And, because California is basically a liberal welfare state, many of the least productive elements are moving in. I live in FL, which is rapidly growing and is the 4th largest state. We, too, have a huge influx of people from other states. However, I’ve noticed that FL has retained a basically conservative character because most of our new-comers have moved here to ESCAPE the ravages of liberalism that devastated them in the northeast and other areas. And it’s important to note that these are not just retirees but people who want to start new businesses or enter the rapidly growing high-tech sector. For example, we have no state income tax and low property taxes - which are going to become even lower under Gov. Charlie Crist and the Republican legislature.

I hear you. I left New Jersey when I was young, not because it was becoming Tijuana, (although from what I’ve heard from friends there it now is) but because it was a totally misgoverned socialist tax-and-spend welfare state.

Too bad the rest of the state doesn’t reflect the values of San Diego County.

I enjoyed your response. You’re right, of course and I agree with you.

As for the collapse of California, I’m not saying I want it to happen but, the question arises, how soon do you think it will be before social unrest and state/societal collapse happens? Or, more likely, it will simply seem like business as usual as the quality of services decrease and taxes and levies and fees increase?

Yours truly,
The Woim

I am a fan of San Diego and lived there from 1987-1988 and then again from 1994-2002. It’s a great city!

Perhaps San Diego County can proclaim itself an independent republic? There’s no law against being a small country... It could be an ally of the U.S. and we could keep those Navy/Marine Corps bases there!

Tourism in the Republic of San Diego would bring in mucho deniro! The Republic would be rich and strong.

Think of San Diego as an independent Republic with it’s own constitution! Who couldn’t love that?

Yours truly,
The Woim

SoCalPol,

No one’s saying anything bad about the great city of San Diego! The article we’re discussing is that LA is a 3rd world city - and there’s not much argument against that premise! LOL!

San Diego is a great city and would be a great independent republic with it’s own constitution and it’s own borders! Remember, San Diego has a wall!

Yours truly,
The Woim

P.S. - I think everyone gets it that The Woim loves San Diego.
