When are TAXPAYERS going to “revolt” like this? ....Every local court case, every adverse ruling, elicits the same response: “PROTEST! RIOT”!
Where are TAXPAYERS, when a tax is increased without just cause - or an unreasonable ludicrous program is created & funded?
COMPLETE SILENCE - not even a small, organized protest, by taxpayers.
In California, gov’t spending is rising FASTER than its pop. growth + inflation. NO ONE PROTESTS.
Where is the payer “uprising”? B/C if that happened, we’d immediately be accused of “excessive conduct” in response to govt action.
Why the ‘double standard’?
Why is one instance of protest “allowable”, understandable, and “tolerated” - but the other one isn’t — it’s considered out-of-bounds, unreasonable, and fundamentally ‘uncivil’?
That is my main query.
Actually it's the race hustlers like sharpton and his ilk who are dismissinve of black on black cirme. Young black men are killing each other every day and you don't hear a peep out of the sharptons or the jacksons. I am still waiting for the protest marches, press conferences, and outrage by the black so-called leaders over the rampant black on black crime in the inner cities.
“abortion of justice”
interesting choice of words
And you don’t know beans.
I believe there was one white cop, one black cop, and one Labeneese cop. The Lebanese cop was afraid of being run over and fired first. The white cop fired most of the remaining 50 bullets. Apart from the fact that they were driving a car the victims were unarmed. Without knowing more about the facts I can’t draw a firm decision on this case. However, it did seem fishy that the court allowed the cops grand jury statements to be considered. This basically allowed the police to get their story presented without facing cross examination. If the DA didn’t object to this in court then this case will look fishy to me.
I am not sure what story you are talking about but in this case no guns were found in the car. Not even the undercover cops are claiming that the victims had guns in the car. The undercover cop thought they did because he claimed that he heard one of them tell another to go and get his gun back when he was still in the club. But after the shooting the car was searched and no weapons were found.
Double Jepordy only prevents the same sovereign from trying a person for the same crime twice. So, the state and the feds can both try you for the same crime (assuming there is an analogous federal crime) and that will not violate the double jeapordy clause.
Hmmm.... If a lot of black people are marching down the street, where would Barry’s grandmother walk?
Still, there's been a decided downturn in the number of cop/civilian shootings where the cops argue "the old lady tried to run us down with her big bad car".
The fact this case (out of hundreds of similar cases) got notoriety probably saved a few lives by chastening the police to make sure of their targets.
Just two years back we were having a regular Freeper Bash LEO fest since there were all these police shooters nailing folks in their driveways, on the Interstates, in parking lots, and so on ~ a regular flood of them.
I think we've only had 1 more really nasty situation like this in that time. More recently it's been old people with guns shooting people on the lawn. Not good material at all.
