“Dialogue about Race”. Probably the LAST thing we need. I'm tired of hearing about it . I have some advice for my African American brothers and sisters. But I don't want to talk about it. It's so damn obvious.
What's needed are deeds not words: raise your kids properly, make them do their homework, tell them to avoid drugs, guns, and gangs. And most of all, tell them that the MAN doesn't wake up every morning thinking of how to screw them and that America is the land of opportunity, where hard work and talent will translate to success. People all around the world recognize this, including Black Africans who move heaven and earth to find ways to emigrate to the broken, dysfunctional, horrible country that Michelle thinks needs fixing by her hubby.

I've never seen the slightest evidence that Michelle Obama is interested in a 'dialogue' about race -- she is only interested in telling all those "typical white persons" how to think in order to conform to her far-left politically correct standards.

Guess what, Mr. & Mrs. Obama, those of us who are not brain-dead leftists do not need to be lectured by you. Many of us would like to see our society become much LESS race-conscious, even "color blind" to the extent humanly possible. It is the political left that is constantly demanding racialist preferences, quotas, double-standards, etc.

Btw, Jeremiah Wright is more racist, by far, than anyone I have encountered in my life. I am 48 years old and have rarely been around anyone of any race who expressed even a tiny hint of the demented racist rants that Rev. Wright seems to consider normal. Any "critical dialogue on race" ought to BEGIN by discussing how Rev. Wright's whole view of the world is badly warped, dishonest, and unhealthy, a completely inappropriate mental world in which to raise one's children (hear that Mr. and Mrs. Obama) or develop one's community.
