"...Many studies over the years have shown that a belief in one's control over the environment dramatically adds to happiness. Example: a famous study of elderly nursing home patients in the 1970s. It showed dramatic improvements in life satisfaction from elements of control as seemingly insignificant as being able to care for one's plants.
Good statistics and good psychology on gun ownershisp.
Mr. Brooks, a professor at Syracuse University's Maxwell School and a visiting scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, is the author of the just-published "Gross National Happiness" (Basic Books).

Obama was just plain wrong. His inability to say that he was wrong says a lot about the kind of man he is and the kind of President he would be.

Growing up in Seattle, I knew nobody who owned a gun. Having just retired and moved to Southern Oregon, I can happily say that I now don't have any geographically close friends who don't own guns.

In 2006, 36% of gun owners said they were "very happy," while 9% were "not too happy." uh-oh...this could be a good news/ bad news sort of thing

For violence it looks like Hussien Obama has to look no further than his own backyard in Chicago. 32 shot over the weekend with 6 dead. His brothers and sisters are out of control.

Bump fire a 30 round magazine. Stress will be gone.
Try it.
Another good reason for gun ownership; stress relief.

That video is awesome. It is proof as to why nobody will ever invade this country, or tyrant oppress the American people with force for as long as we embrace the 2nd amendment.

"34% of American homes have guns in them"
Methinks that this stat is a little low. If some survey called me up asking if I owned guns I would never admit to my arsenal. It's none of their business. I think a lot of my friends would have the same response.
