That's the Model....Now we know what the Iranians are Up To...they had the Iranian Ambassador make that statement about the Iraqi's doing the right thing about those criminals in Basra.,...but the Americans are doing terrible things against ordinary Shia peasants in Sadr City....
Well, I was OK with calling them criminals if it reflects the situation on the ground or close to it. An appellation we wish were true.
But these guys got killed in a war. Aside from the Geneva Convention or the like, I don’t see anything judicial or extra-judicial about blowing these guys away. Maybe I just incorrectly read the description as summary execution. And, it was not.
Thanks Ernest.

criminals = terrorists?
I think it is a good put down. They are so full of themselves, they think of themselves as “terrorists” when they are no better than a penny ante criminal.
I think the repeated use of “criminal” from Iraqi government sources seeks to clearly define Sadr’s and other militias as opposing the “rule of law”.
The democratically elected Iraqi government is enforcing the “rule of law” within Iraq. Maybe a first in an Arab nation.
6 of one, half a dozen of another. It’s the killing of a prisoner(s) without a trial and judicial sentence of death.
The difference comes between combat and those captured during hostilities. The difference between shooting a sniper on a rooftop, and putting a bullet in his head in the middle of the street, as he is on his knees and shackled.
They never have been.
I've personally had Mookie's rockets and mortars land way too close to me on too many occasions. He has also been responsible for the deaths of three Americans I have known and worked with over the past four years.
Time for Mookie to expire.
No capture....just waste his worthless a$$.
All the more reason for Maliki and all his new supporters to stay firm in wiping out the Mahdi Army and it’s associates.
