You’re right, maybe I overreacted. The comment was really tacky.

Thank you for posting this story. It touches my heart to see a girl love God so much that she just wants to give everything to him and love others. What an inspiration. We can learn a lot from her. We need more Andrea Jaegers.

Remarkable story. Remarkable woman. Lord does work his miracles in wondrous ways. Love the look of absolute joy on her face and also the look on Chrissie Evert’s face.

It does make one wonder how many talented youth don’t have anyone looking out for their personal, spiritual or emotional interests. Even their families often look at them as commodities.

Is anyone surprised, btw, that Martina couldn’t bestir her sorry self to help a kid in crisis?

I hope she takes the time to write an autobiography.

No problem at all. I've made more than a few tacky comments of my own and overreacted to plenty of comments from others as well so I've been on both sides of the fence.

Another way to look at it is I read the same comment and thought it had no place on a thread such as this. There are plenty of other objects worthy of such scorn, (Maher, Obama, Hillary,Chrissy Mathews, Olbermann ect. ect. ect.) and clearly here we have a young woman not only not worthy of such scorn but who should be held up as an example...

And you had the guts to call the bluff today and I didn't.

That is indeed another way I choose to look at it.

Godspeed to the brave and hearty. ;-)

I hope she takes the time to write an autobiography.

It appears that she may have already done just that:

From my observations, pictures of female tennis players past and present aren't considered of interest to this this site unless the females

A) grunt sexily on the court,
B) look good in a bikini, or
C) are capable of making the "men" of Free Republic post the gratuitous "I'd hit it" comment.

what a refreshing story! In a day when political correctness takes center stage and “party party” is the hue and cry, here is a young lady who really understands what life is all about. Thank you Lord for her beautiful witness!

Thanks. I'm trying to get handle, statistically, on how many hopeless idiots there are in a virtual crowd.

You're the first on this thread!

I'd lean in the direction of a little kindness and understanding at least this once

Kindly tell him what an imbecil he is. Tell him to take his finger out of his freaking nostril and clean up his keyboard. Suggest he get a life.

You'll be doing him and society a favor.
