No matter what the FLDS party line is on that, the real answer appears to be "Heck no!" Not only is there the stuff Warren Jeffs was convicted of, there's this site which has testimonials from a number of people who say they had to escape in order to leave. They're under the "True Stories" menu.

Unless there's a vast conspiracy to persecute the FLDS, the authorities made the right call on this one.
