Of course, after years of the Left telling us to listen children and how there is wisdom in the “mouth of babes,” this will be completely ignored and/or ridiculed.

Thanks so much for sharing this. It’s nice to see that at least one child has managed to get through the indoctrination unscathed.

This young lady is very diligent and seems to have good leadership qualities. I wish her all the best.

But the author of this article is still mis-informed. To quote the author “But the overwhelming consensus is that humans are causing global warming, and the consequences could be serious.”.

That statement is neither demonstrable fact nor relevant to science. Show me the data that relevant SCIENTISTS demonstrate an ‘overwheling consensus,’ AND help me understand why “consensus” (aka ‘beliefs) is relevant to the scientific method?

She says that makes her think of hippies.

Hey Kristen I've got a nephew I'd like to hook you up with.

After reading “Ponder the Maunder” , which I agree with, the girl’s step-dad wrote a good rebuttal to the Global Warming supporters. Just my opinion.

If NPR is reporting this it only means that an important faction of the left is beginning to bail on Gore’s agenda since it has inescapably begun to flounder, having run out of time and having overshot its time frame objective of being legislated globally via the UN with the help of a Gore or Kerry presidency and which is now beginning to crap all over the intellectual bona fides of the left-intelligentsia since the evidence against man made global warming is becoming impossible to hysterically deny. Watching those scientifically corrupt b*stards tank will be a modern form of entertainment.

Kristen had no fear. She took on Al Gore the Nobel laureate, Academy Award winner and former vice president. She went after Jim Hansen, one of NASA's top climate scientists. E-mail poured in, mostly from skeptics happy a young person had taken up the cause.

Algore is a noted Nobel Peace laureate and High Priest of the Global Warming Hoax.

The High Priest is also a flunked out divinity student, and "D" student in the science course he took somewhere along the line.

Also he is also a fat salesman for Carbon Credits.

She thinks she would like to become an architect — maybe even build energy-efficient "green" buildings.

Energy-efficient buildings are a good thing. Especially when energy is expensive.

She does not see herself as an environmentalist, though. She says that makes her think of hippies.

I like this girl!

My 19 year old daughter recently did a research project and paper exposing the hysteria about AGW and introduced plenty of contrary scientific evidence — at UC Santa Cruz no less! She knew she was going up against a AGW kook instructor, but she stuck to her guns. She was so well prepared that the she was able to answer every question the instructor threw at her — and the instructor was coming from a basis of emotion, not facts and science. My daughter discovered there was a lot of hidden skepticism among her classmate, but they had been cowed into silence by PC. They congratulated her for taking her stand. It was the last paper of the term, so she didn’t get it back, but she got a B in the class. I was really proud of her for going up against the leftist establishment.
