Why can’t a woman be like a man?

Because they are an entirely different species, most probably originating in a galaxy far, far, away.

Will an academic science that is quota-driven, gender-balanced, cooperative rather than competitive, and less time-consuming produce anything like these results? So far, no one in Congress has even thought to ask.

So opens another chapter in The Decline and Fall of America.

Biggest gainers if Title IX is applied to technical education: femail Indian and Chinese students who will be given anything they want to come to the US to balance the number of male Indian and Chinese students in the US science departments.

femail Indian and Chinese students

Also a big boost: students who know that the opposite of male is female. Femail is the opposite of mail. :-(

My two daughters graduated with B.S. degrees in mathematics at the age of 18. The oldest earned a masters degree in math at the age of 20.

I homeschooled them. We used Saxon Math.

They are not pursuing Ph.D. degrees because they both married handsome science and engineering students. They are now wives and mothers.

Why Can’t a Woman Be More Like a Man?

Insufficient exposure to testosterone.

Any other dumb questions?

Men and liberals don’t “get it”: brainy women are considered unattractive by the majority of men no matter how beautiful.

I posit that is so because most men want to control the relationship, to “be on top” so to speak, and suspect they could be outsmarted by an intelligent woman.

My nephew is reading this over my shoulder ands wants me to add a correction - that only some men feel this way.

Actually, many women have undergone genital mutilation in San Fran and several other african nations. Those in the states are put on steroids to further become more like men. In PC circles, these mentally deranged folks are called transgenders.

If want to predict the result of applying Title IX whole-heartedly to the hard sciences, we can look to the arena of college sports for an indication. There, we spend hundreds of millions of alumni dollars to subsidize the enthusiasm of a few young women, many of them psychologically damaged, for sports that they play almost as well as young high-school boys—before an audience of hundreds.

Do we want affirmative-action scholars building our bridges?

As a rule, women tend to gravitate to fields such as education, English, psychology, biology, and art history, while men are much more numerous in physics, mathematics, computer science, and engineering. Why this is so is an interesting question—and the subject of a substantial empirical literature. The research on gender and vocation is complex, vibrant, and full of reasonable disagreements; there is no single, simple answer.

I love this statement

Life is complex
People are complex
People make Individual decisions for Complex reasons

Systematically warping these decisions my
applying external standards and inducements
is intrinsically inefficient and counterproductive

It appears women on the whole (some exceptions) aren’t that interested in these fields. I don’t understand why some want to force the issue.

I made good grades in Math, but couldn’t wait to be done with it. I purposely avoided any kind of advanced math. I didn’t enjoy it, and there were other subjects that were easier and more suited to my abilities.

Perhaps some of these women who want to force the issue have inferiority complexes. I don’t believe different is inferior.
