Of course, the left only supports embryonic stem cell research that involves the killing of unborn children precisely because they want to sanctify the act of killing of the unborn. If they can get just one "good" use out of embryonic stem cells obtained from dead children, then it will serve to legitimize abortion for many people.
Most people who are opposed to killing unborn children, however, have no problems with harvesting embryonic stem cells from non-fetal sources (say, the placenta, or other tissues which become obsolete when the baby is born).
Sadly though, any attempt to fund such research is routinely killed by the Democrats, because it doesn't serve their goal of sanctifying the most vile and disgusting things one human can do to another.
