On a more serious note though, I thank the founders of our nation who clung to their religion and clung to their guns. Without either, we would not be here. And Obama would be in Africa.
Obama can take his snotty, liberal, arrogant, elitist remarks and kindly go kiss my cold instant grits. This Virginian will be glad to cheer and say right on to any and all rural and small town Pennsylvanians who’ve been offended and insulted by this clown’s remarks.

That's Gordy's L-39 Lahti, AKA the Norsupyssy, or *elephant shooter* as the Finnish troops who first used the things on the light Soviet tanks of 1939 nicknamed it.
As heavier tanks came along, it became less useful, though it would still ruin the Soviet amphibious vehicles that had to be less heavily-armoured, and it worked great against such vehicles as armored cars...whose crews found out weren't armored enough.
Finally a time came when they were thought militarily useless...until armored ground-attack aircraft like the Russian *Stormovik* and the later attack helicopters brought the guns out of storage and back into the hands of Finnish soldiers, mostly on vehicular AA mounts. Finally, finally, after almost 6 decades of service, the last batch of guns was sold off, to collectors and as spare parts for a few American shooters who had picked up one of the first bunch of guns to be sold around 1959-60.
The Finnish taxpayers got their money's worth out of those old guns. So too did the Americans who picked one up for $199.95, plus shipping. I know of two for sale now, at around $10,000 each.
