Really? if so...not more special stamps or anything else that Komen sponsors. My dollars won’t be going to planned parenthood anymore. I’m done.
Don’t donate anymore. I’m not now that I know my hard earned dollars which I thought was going towards fighting breast cancer goes to Planned Parenthood too. No way will I donate monies to murder babies.
What a stupid way to squander a valuable brand that could have done a lot for what it said it stood for: finding a cure for breast cancer.

Even if they weren't giving to Planned Parenthood, Komen and too many organizations like it do nothing to "cure cancer." They exist as feel-good operations whose money goes primarily to "raise awareness" and put out pamphlets--no doubt a worthy endeavor 30 years ago, but who on this planet isn't aware of breast cancer today?
When people give to organizations like this--whether for breast cancer, kidney disease, etc., they believe their money goes to actual research, which is rarely the case. Komen's devolution into just another money-wasting bureaucracy with political subtext was, I suppose predictable. The money raised by successful groups is pheremone to leeches who make a career out of appropriating groups' original missions for their own purposes.
According to Charitynavigator.org Koman spends 82.5% of the dontated money on their program. 9.3% goes to admin, and 8% goes to costs of fund raising. The two top executives make $240k and $180k in salary.
A key question would be where this $750k goes, admin or program. I’d wager that it was put in the program column even though it has little to nothing to do with breast cancer research or education.
I’m not trying to start a fight...just trying to understand. Komen gives money to institutions that do prescreenings for breast cancer...doesn’t Planned Parenthood do that?

Because many many people believe that Planned Parenthood does far more evil than good. Hospitals generally do far more good than evil.
Planned Parenthood was founded by a racist who believed in culling out the undesirables. They have failed to report the rape of children. They encourage children to be sexually promiscuous.
And Komen is now proven to be helping Planned Parenthood accomplish their mission.
Abortions cause an increase in breast cancer rates, so Komen gives to P.P.?
Oh, please. Planned parenthood also does good by helping poor women get the health care they need. Komen can’t be responsible for everything EVERYONE does. That is not their mission...that is yours.
