I hardly ever send anything by USPS anymore. Email gets information to its destination much faster, and Lone Star, UPS, or Fedex are more reliable for sending packages.

Was at the post office the other day and some guy was complaining about the price of stamps going up again. The clerk said “Well at least we aren’t Big Oil, where they’re raising your price 50 cents per gallon every year.” I’m pretty sure everyone who works at the post office is a Democrat, unless they’re now retired. :O)

Since, by your own admission, you haven't sent anything by USPS in recent memory, you don't know that in the last few years, USPS has become one of the fastest, cheapest and most reliable shipping methods. Priority Mail, despite recent price hikes, is still the best deal for sending 1-5 lb. packages anywhere in the world. I sell on eBay and ship about 100 packages per month, 25% of which are international. I have never had one go missing, or arrive in damaged condition. Priority Mail takes at most 3 days coast to coast, and most of the time it gets there in 2 days. I've sent Priority Mail to Australia that got there in 3 days. UPS and FedEx have nothing to compare. UPS and FedEx ground are comparable in price to Priority, but much slower for long distances, and, unlike USPS, there's no Saturday delivery.

Pretty sure he’ll get the convict vote, the illegal alien vote, the deceased vote, the ex-convict vote, the welfare recipient vote, the baby-daddy vote, the dope peddler vote and the pimp-daddy vote, as well. It’s like a NEW, new deal!

If they let UPS deliver 1st class mail it's over for the Post Office.

I remember when a mailbox was common.

I'm sorry but that just sounds fake to me...did he or she really say that?

I’m pretty sure everyone who works at the post office is a Democrat

You'd better hope not, seeing as how they have just about a million employees.

The post office delivers more first class mail in one day than UPS could deliver in five years. And when has UPS delivered anything for 42 cents.

Think.

"pretty sure"

As a postal worker I'm pretty sure you're exceptionally wrong. About forty percent of postal workers, like me, are Republicans.

"UPS"

Then you can forget about Saturday deliveries and most rural deliveries. If you live in the country you can plan on driving twenty miles or more one way to get your mail. If you're lucky. Because there's no way UPS is going to send trucks out to deliver letters unless it's a large bundle. Plus it will cost you a lot more to get it.

It appears to me that the postal workers see Obama as a refreshing change for them. Perhaps these workers over the years have hated having to put out all those patriotic stamps. An Obama Presidency would allow the Post Office to print stamps they have always longed for: Karl Marx stamps, I hate America stamps, the hammer and sickle stamp, the Fist and the Rose stamp, The Red Diamond on the Black White Green Stripes stamp, and the national flag of Cuba with Che Guevara superimposed on it stamp. The ultimate stamp would be a mushroom cloud over New York celebrating Muslim victory in the war on terror.

Postal worker?

Not at all, just looking at the facts. What would UPS have to do to be able to visit every home in the US every day? What would be the price of a first class stamp? What about overseas mail?

Think. I mean no disrespect.

Domestic Mail Services

Apparently they already do mail in a, "share program with the U.S. Postal Service."

This is a very revealing picture of the US Postal Service. Such an image can be revealed in their latest stamp, limited issue, “Stuck on Stupid.”
