Would you care to share your information regarding the innocence of this child-abusing cult?

Well, well, turns out the bigot can't even read.

I never said the people in the FLDS were innocent. In fact, I think it's a near-certainty that they're guilty as hell, but I also admit that a prosecutor will have to offer this little thing called "evidence" in a court before it can be said that they are guilty. I said they were not affiliated with the Mormon church. You said these people are Mormons, I said they aren't. Yet somehow, in your head, saying they aren't Mormons means "They're innocent as the driven snow."

When you lumped these people in with the Mormons, you portrayed 13 million innocent people as child molesters.

Luckily, you'll never be on the receiving end of the standard of "justice" you've been applying.

"Mr. Humblegunner, I hereby sentence you to 60 years for your numerous sex acts with children."

"But Your Honor, the prosecutor never offered any evidence that I had sex with children!"

"That's true, but it's not the prosecutor's job to archive incidents of pedophilia in your life. Bailiff, get this child rapist out of my sight."

It’s true that Mormonism is a cult, but comparing a pedophilia ring to a religion of 13 million innocent people is baloney, and Smith married that 14 year old at a time when 14 year olds getting married was a common thing.

And (HEADS UP!) so far there is ZERO EVIDENCE that these people were doing anything wrong, EXCEPT what you’re being told by the Texas state child welfare workers. Who have an agenda to justify their phoney-baloney jobs.

1. Go to childbrides.org, rad the stuff in the True Stories section and tell me what the CPS workers say is wild and crazy.

2. Go to wikipedia and look up Warren Jeffs, note the stuff he was convicted of and tell me what the CPS workers say is wild and crazy.

3. Show me where these Texas CPS workers were in any danger of losing their jobs. You really think there's a big shortage of child abuse in the world, that they wouldn't have had anything to do with their time without this ranch raid?

If I remember correctly, although it was not God’s will, Abraham and David had many wives, yet God did not enact capital punishment on them.

Whether the government is right or wrong in this case, apologizing for polygamy is just silly. We get to make laws, and the law of this nation is one man, one woman.

Storm trooper tactics? Wow. It seems the Texas officials did everything in their power to avoid another Waco.

I am amazed at the number of Freepers who expected the authorities in this case to stand around picking their noses for the next ten years. Their primary evidence that rights were violated seems to be the simple fact that a lot of kids came off the ranch.

A lot of people around here are going to look really stupid when these trials are all over.

Muhammad used to get visions where “God” settled arguments with his wives. And, funny thing, Muhammad was always the one in the right!

You said these people are Mormons, I said they aren't.

Hmmm. Let's see:

Revere Joe Smith as a prophet. Check.
Consider the book of Mormon to be Holy Scripture. Check.
Believe all that nonsense about the history of this continent. Check.

But they aren't Mormons, huh? OK, whatever you say, chief.

The association is through Joseph Smith, the man both LDS and FLDS regard as their founder and prophet. We are to judge prophets by their fruit (MT 7:15-16) He brought polygamy into the mormon realm and the fruits of that are being seen in TX. There was nothing in my post to suggest members of LDS are pedophiles, my target was the common founder.

Almost let that one slip. No, Christian Fundamentalists don't use snakes. Snakehandlers use snakes and the rest of their theology isn't all that fundamental.

I grew up in an area of the country inundated with Souvrn' immigrants and there were the real thing among them ~ kids who went to church on Sunday and handled snakes, whooped and hollered, and drank poison.

They said, and I quote "If'n ye don' tek op the serpents ye air gonna' go to Hell".

I've known plenty of fundies since, even Roman Catholics and such, and NONE of them handle snakes.

I've also encountered Hindu snakehandlers, and I understand there's a crew of who worship Shatan, and they use snakes.
