I have a hard time caring now days...it sometimes seems we live in a one party system with our candidates selected for us anyway. It is hard not to be cynical.
It's so typical of the LEFT.
Is the lake ice out yet?
I imagine gnats on a bull’s a$$ also feel quite powerful making that big huge tail swish around kicking up winds of (seemingly) hurricane force.
Ron Paul supporters.
Gnats on a bull’s a$$.
They’ve managed to get delegates this way in Minnesota and Texas for sure. I think their strategy has worked elsewhere. I don’t care for the man and would not vote for him, but I have to admire the stubborness of his cult, though not their honesty.
And now, we have this nutjob RuPaul and his followers, flush with their success, 4% support, taking a page out of the National Socialist playbook.
The lake ice is out, but 2 feet of snow fell in parts of northern MN. :-)
damn that global varming anyway. Thanks!
I,m a native Alexandrian,, i miss my ice fishing.
I survived Mondale and Humphrey as senators, now I’m stuck with Babs and DiFi
Here’s hoping Weird Al gets his head handed to him in November.
I wish them more luck next time. The GOP needs a serious shakeup - a serious injection of smaller-government philosophy. Given McCain’s clear hatred of American sovereignty, I’m not tempering these wishes with apprehensions related to foreign policy.
Yup. They sure aren't Republicans, and like all moonbats, have no respect nor understanding of the nomination process.
Ron Paul is finished, done. He lost. Get over it, you retards!
I’m aware of the votes, but it is not legitimate if the process of even entering the race are keeping out many more qualified candidates. By the time we vote in Minnesota (or many other states for that matter), our selection has already been made for us by a party that allows a few states all the practical authority to cull the heard from which we select our votes.
As I recall, McCain had all the votes he needed before we all voted in Minnesota, what difference does it make what candidate I vote for in Minnesota? McCain yes or McCain no is still McCain. I have not had a voice in this election because it was over before I voted.
We can all debate about voting for someone that is the lesser of two evils, but the real problem lies with the methods we use to arrive at a slate of candidates.
If the system were more democratic, these sorts of shinnanigans would be less likely to occur.
These problems could be fixed if the parties really wanted to do it, but they don’t want to.
The world will be run by those who show up, but many people are stopped at the door. Those are the facts as I see them, whether I face up to the fact that McCain was nominated or not.
No sign of “global warming” (or spring) here in North Dakota either. It’s the coldest year on record, and that’s not just a local condition either. But that doesn’t stop the global warming alarmists from annoying everyone.

For the record, I voted for Ron Paul in the primary and am voting for McCain in the general. I'm about a far from a leftist as it gets. I am a "Contract with America" Republican, and was here long before Dubs came on the scene with his "compassionate conservatism" that has gutted the party. I'll give him credit for his two Supreme Court justices and tax cuts, and signing a bill to ban lawsuits against gun manufacturers, but that's about it, and I voted for him twice anyway.
“He wasn’t selected for us ... a majority of Republicans choose him through the nomination process.”
Actually he was chosen for us. McInsane’s support came from independents and democrats....
We had the wacko from Arkansas (lib), the Mormon (lib) and Fred in the race against him. The only conservative that was running was Fred, and the media refused to cover his campaign.
So we git stuck with the crazy one...
With Paul supporters coming in droves to the GOP this year, I wonder how many will return next year. My guess: few to none.
Hey, look, ma ! They paroled the nervous hospital patients.
Yep. Don't hate the player; hate the game ;)
I'm no Paul supporter, but at this point I'll take anything that shakes things up a bit.
Screen delegate’s ,use super delegates, whats the difference ?
