So...I should vote for the socialist who would “unite us”, or the socialist who will get fillibustered?

Hmmmmmm.....

“You should be a little tired of settling for the lesser of the evils or perhaps McCain is right up your alley.....”

Life is full of selecting from the ‘lesser of two evils’. It’s time ‘principled conservatives’ realize that and get over it.

"We need to listen," John McCain was saying...

It would be nice if he listened to "quote conservatives" once in a while...

“Are you sure? Perhaps Hitlary would be better - at least, if she is elected, the senete will filibuster her every time she says “Good morning.””

And what is to prevent the senate from filibustering McCain?

Let the beatings begin by the MSM on Juan McCain.

The sooner the quicker. It seems to me the last real chance to avert the disaster would be at the Republican Convention. Maybe if enough serious folks get the picture, someone not quite so disastrous could be put forth. But a Republican who is outspoken in his rejection of the global warming agenda; rejection of Federal meddling and use of tax funds in moral issues like homosexuality and abortion; rejection of Federal give-aways that entice illegal immigration; rejection of tax increases and national health care in concept and principle -- to cite just a few examples of Liberal Creep ... which Republican would that be? The so-called "serious" ones are all for Federal global warming regulation, Federal or at least State health care legislation, and endless Federal oversight to "solve" market, education, and social problems.

Where and who is the Republican who rejects all that crap like I do and, I believe, that a whole lot of average level-headed Amerians do? I think there's a chance that such a Republican presidential candidate could be electrifying enough to jolt many into voting Republican for the first time.

No guts, no glory. Draggling along with Wacko McCain or opting for a younger version of the same Big Daddy Government mentality, is suicidal for the Republican party and hence, America. People need to get the picture.

Well if Ms. Clinton would only move a little to her right, she would be more conservative than Juan McCain and I could vote for her.

Stockpirate appears close to voting for Hillary. Just a teenie-weenie "little" move to the right by Hillary will get him to pull the lever for her.

Unbelievable.

No, you will probably vote for a Lame Duck who will be over ruled even his veto powers if he tries to show Conservative restraint.

You say he will keep us in the war? Not a chance, after the Democrat majority defunds the war and our troops are forced to come home like they did in Vietnam. And McLame will be powerless to veto much of anything with the coming Democrat super majority.

Besides, McLame will side with the Democrats, his “Friends and colleagues”.

OH yes, you have got it right. No way will the Dummiecrats allow McCain to fund this war with their help. They will chop him off at the knees.

Believe it, this will happen if McCain wins.

“Well if Ms. Clinton would only move a little to her right, she would be more conservative than Juan McCain”

Funny thing about that is, it wouldn’t take much!

Both of you need to get a room and invite Hillary. Maybe you can convince her to move just a "little" to the right.

God help us, because none of the Jimmy Carters running for president will. No matter who wins, the next four years are going to get rough. Vote for the disaster of your choice, or don’t vote, but pray often, and ask God to forgive us for whatever sins we’ve committed to deserve this trio of liberal clowns.

Who else was there to vote for? Huckabee? Romney? McCain was the best candidate in the race when it came time for me to vote in AZ.

Some critics worry that despite McCain's stated commitment to diplomatic coercion against Tehran, such an uncompromising approach could lead to hostilities.

Translation: We should adopt an accomodationist approach--a.k.a. appeasement--so as to diminish the chances that "hostilities" might erupt.

This is surely 1939 redux.

That’s why the American public does not need to see what they will stereo type all Conservatives by. McVain will damage the Conservative image for generations to come.

The Democrat victory next November will be very short lived. The heat will be on them to the degree that America will crawl across broken glass to vote them out of Congress and the Senate in 2010.

If they do raise our taxes, that can be easily undone by another Conservative President. Besides, they will be so busy trying to heard cats due to the sour economy, they will get almost none of their Socialist agenda passed.

I give God a lot of credit, and we’ll see how the next four years turn out. If I’m wrong, it won’t be because I have misjudged God’s strength.

“There it is. The reason we’re in this mess! The founding fathers should have just stayed under British rule, afterall that was the the best they could hope for....right?”

That’s an absurd comment which could not be further from the truth. Life gives you the choices it does. Electing a perfect conservative is not on this years menu. There are three and only three potential president candidates to choose from. Complaining and bithching about life accomplishes won’t change a thing. Pick the one out of the three you like best and get over it.

There will be other campaigns. Other elections. Other candidates. Be optimistic and work for real conservatives every chance you get. Just because we didn’t get what we wanted this year doesn’t mean we won’t next time. Just don’t let disappointment now lead you to doing something stupid like staying home or voting third party.
