Not sure what you want to be addressed as. I guess I could have been a little more formal with the opening but I’m sure if you want me to call you [something else] that you’ll inform me in a return e-mail.

I did pick up your three boxes for us today. ... I will ensure I open the packages to let [the other] team know they have stuff in there too.

I’m not sure how it was done in the past but, so you know, I’m very good at returning e-mails. I’m pretty sure that your Merry Band of Patriots does all this out of the kindness in your hearts and I would like to say we appreciate the support (the goodies are good too!!).

Do we have any volunteers for Bagram for Easter, April 12? The packages will need to go out before the end of March. SENClander is doing the boxes for our NPTT unit near Baghdad.

Hi wanted to let you know the valentines packages came thru. so did the wii toys for the youngsters. We sent the candy boxes out to the teams around the country. They wanted to make sure we thank you. I just got back from the field. been gone a few weeks. But back at baf now. Hope everything is going well for the folks at home.

to shop much but I sure can shop on the internet.
I ordered one tin of Hot and Spicy Cajun Snack Mix 1 lb 2 oz
One tin of Krazy Kicks Snacking Mix 1 lb 2 oz and
one tin of Deluxe Homestyle Cookies 11 doz cookies.

There should be something in there for every taste.

Patty,

Yes, we got the care packages a few days ago. The chili has been a hit with my team sergeant. MAJ Cat is gone. We dropped them off almost a month ago so he is back in the USA by now. We do have augmentees and we offer up stuff to them as well (as they are basically part of the team). EVERYONE appreciates the goodies. As for the Wall Street Journals - not so much of a hit. I will say that the 2 boxes of brownies - those ARE a hit. The boys seem to love those. I think they were gone within 20 minutes of opening the boxes so if you’re wondering what to send, those would be great.

No need to worry about headlights. We’re good with that stuff. I know you probably don’t want to hear this but opening the boxes and being surprised is best. So, I guess the short answer is to just send little goodies like you’ve been sending. We’ve been out among the locals here and we do like handing out candy to the kids so little hard candies/sweet tarts/stuff like that works too.

Do you want anything from here? I know it’s kind of a weird questions but simple things - say a picture of the team with augments (which we have yet to take). Perhaps an American Flag we’ve flown over the JSS (Joint Security Site)? I’d like to reciprocate the favor since you’ve adopted us. Just curious. Please let me know if you do and we’ll get that stuff flowing back your way.

That’s about it. Again, thank you for your support. Not sure if you share the e-mails I send or not. If you don’t, let the rest of the Merry Band of Patriots know there’s guys here that do appreciate everything they do. Talk to you later.

I also threw in some suckers, some individual packets of
drink mixes, some butterscotch discs, some caramels.
All the candies are individually wrapped. The helmet liners
are probably too warm this time of the year but if not they
have them and if it is too hot they can bring them home and wear them
if they have to rob a bank or liquor store.
