No, and I would thank you not to assume.

Break the law = break the law.

This is not difficult, people.

Yes, he made a choice that she has no control of. If your dad made a choice to steal something, break traffic laws, divert state money, etc. (which I find all disgusting) would you punish a little girl? I am so tired and disgusted of this thread I am going to bed. I hope this little girl goes to heaven with having the love of her father to send her. No matter what. She is the one man she has loved all her life, and I can’t believe I have been reading this all night. I hope things are better tomorrow for her, and me. I still believe that everyone at FR are what I have been about all these years.

Evidently. There are many here who think this criminal should be given a cahnce to be with his daughter, but no the criminals who cross the borders illegally should not.

Everbody's entitled to their opinion. Apparently I missed the story about the illegal immigrant who's daughter was dying in the hospital so I don't know about who's on which side of that issue.

Sentences are changes all the time, people are let out for good behavior, etc.

Clearly you have had a bad run in with someone in your life doing meth but you are letting that cloud what I would hope is an intelligent mind. Allowing him this isn't going to change anyone else, that is simplistic thinking at best. As someone who knows the effects of meth, you already know common sense doesn't come into play. You are spiting a little girl because of your past experience.

Break the law = break the law.

Doesn't add up. Passing bad checks and dealing meth are both breaking the law. But it's different if it's about meth. It's all the same, but it's not the same.

I can’t tell either. There are so many liberal arguements on this thread it makes my head spin.

After reading all those illegal immigrant threads I was convinced we were law and order folks here.

Now, I’m just confused. Compassion for one little girl, but harsh punishment for millions?

Really good people do NOT lose their grip on reality when their young child is diagnosed, they suck it up and do what needs done for as long as it can be done. Running off to engage in grief stricken drug binging is what self involved morons do.

Yes. And I read the whole thread. Actions have consequences. Nice people get hurt.

Yes, they do. But if the chance is there for them not to without it doing major damage otherwise, why not see it through?

Some people think people on welfare don't need 32" plasma TV's, but they'll contribute money to send a dying kid to Disneyland before they die. Go figure.

You came in here both barrels blazing, now finish it. The illegal has paid for his previous visits here with his kids so it wasn’t at taxpayer expense, he only plans to be until his kids are established and has said he will work very hard and at slave wages so he can be with his kids and give them a chance at a better life. He always pays his own way is not costing the tax payers any money.

What the hell is your problem with this?

He should be grateful they let him out at all. I’m glad, though, that the system has a heart...his little girl did nothing wrong except have an idiot father.

not only that, this is the fourth time they escorted him to see her... the system has a much bigger heart than i thought...

We saw it happen to all kinds of people and all types of families on the pediatric cancer floor. People with addictions often relapse towards them during times of crisis, and haing a child diagnosed with cancer would be one of those times. In fact, many families are torn apart during cancer.
