In 2008, Rush Limbaugh has stolen a page from the Michigan Democratic Partys playbook and nationalized cross-primary voting under the aegis of Operation Chaos. Like many of El Rushbos better bits of humor, the name is parody.
Limbaughs sobriquet is a take-off on Paranoid President Lyndon B. Johnsons Operation CHAOS, which made the USA Patriot Act look like a civil liberties walk in the park. Thus Rush Limbaugh slaughters a liberal sacred cow and gets the EIB Black Helicopters of Doom buzzing in fevered imaginations of bog-trotting conspiracy-mongers in one good skit.
The Ohio Democratic Party has responded in a way that only a group of individuals that is logic-deprived enough to send both Sherrod Brown and Dennis Kucinich to congress multiple times could respond. They want to throw the book at Rush Limbaughs Kwazy Konservative Kommandoes. According to The Nation, these violators must be violated!
You and Rush Zibo have missed the Clintons boot kicking your butt.
You have millions of Komrades on the far Left who share your hatred of Rush.
Exactly true and please tell your friends and family to do the same. Rush Zibo wants Hillary Clinton elected President.
McCain has always been the MSMs candidate, so it doesn’t surprise me that they relish this whole democrat infighting...I think they wouldn’t mind seeing a convention blowup and then McCain being the President...THey’re probably the ONLY group that actually may be happy about all that has gone on this year!
Say hello to your lord and master Hillary Clinton and her useful idiot Rush Zibo.
Finally we agree EEE. Rush Zibo and some conservatives are acting as the useful idiots of the Clintons and they are proud of it.
I saw the boot. I also saw someone licking it. Was that you?
It is you and Rush Zibo who are eager to lick the Clintons boot again. Stop hiding behind your finger, it is very clear what you guys are doing.
Under which scenario will the Democrats believe they have the best chance to win?
1) Obama wins the pledged delegate race and the nomination because superdelegates support him.
2) Obama wins the pledged delegate race but is denied the nomination because superdelegates support Hillary.
I would submit that the democrats will choose Obama because the risk of an explosive and intense backlash from blacks is too great as compared to the risks associated with the already diminishing effect from the “Pastor” problem. Couple that with the media’s fawning over Obama and it will make it very difficult to choose Hitlery. On top of that, there is clearly a legitimate disagreement among democrats and republicans alike as to which candidate is more vulnerable to McCain.
As the effect of the “Pastor” problem diminshes in the eyes of liberals (not mine or any sensible person’s) over time, the probability that the superdelegates will overturn the pledged vote count gets smaller. Hillary realizes this, which is why she tried to stoke that fire today by saying she would not have stayed in such a church.
Based on the above, I think it is close to a foregone conclusion that Obama will get the nomination. I still think it is a good idea to vote Hillary in the primaries because any action that could potentially drag it out longer will only help McCain.
Bottom line for me is that the democrats have found the one way to lose this election with their handling of the primaries/caucuses. Hopefully Obama is now unelectable. Unfortunately it isn’t a shoe-in because McCain is such a pitiful republican candidate.
We should all get out and vote for him though in the GE. The potential consequences, particularly on the SCOTUS, are disatrous.
Oh Lord don't tell me. Another night with some fool thinking I'm a plant (what was that big word... "consultant") for the mainstream media!
Pray tell what does, "hide behind your finger," mean? That's a new one on me. Anything to do with obscene gestures? I'M JUST ASKING!
And who would, "you guys," be? Hmmm?
You are not a part of the great "INNER CIRCLE!"
You have not spelled O-V-A-L-T-I-N-E.
If you took you're tinfoil hat off and did a little background checking you would know that I am on record with the intention of committing my vote to John McCain in November.
After all, McCain may be locked up in an asylum with a diaper on his butt by next year. The guy is a half wit and hes almost 72.
Scientifically speaking, He has the brain power of a gerbil, and hes gets worse by the day.
Yes, we did. I would never vote for Hillary or a Democrat. This is going to backfire big-time on FR.
Do you honestly believe that any vote in the Democrat primary has any intellectual reasoning behind it? Think about it for a minute. These are the people who vote for Ted Kennedy! Buring up their money in an extended race is patriotic!
In all fairness, Operation Chaos is one of those things that you can either stomach, or not. It's not for everyone.
I think it is misunderstood by a lot of people because, frankly, the state-by-state tactics are kinda complex, and we're asking people to leave the zone of the customary votings patterns (well, that's probably true for most Republicans. Democrats can be bought for a pack of cigarettes. But I digress.)
We're asking people to stay on top of bureaucrats and make sure they honor our intentions. (Historically, this is a very useful skill come general election time. You know how those civil servants love to think for us!)
I believe Hillary has been beaten-up pretty good this week. She could use a little help because Obama is definitely overdue for a good spanking.
My two cents.
