There was a guy in Texas a few years ago that was sentenced to death. On the night he was supposed to be executed, after they hooked him up to the tubes, they got word to wait for a last second appeal decision. They left the guy hooked up for three hours, then D/Ced him and took him back to his cell. The next morning the appeal came back rejected and so they nailed him the next night.
I don't remember the details, but that had to suck.

Trying to give a damn...... nope, I have no sympathy. Let’s not hear any whining from her lawyers either. The murdered victims of the SLA did not get an “extra year” of anything, only bloody death.
I wonder if some lib in the CA parole/prison system tried to spring her early with this ‘mistake’ and then the matter was re-examined with all the fuss. How on earth could they not be ultra-careful about when to release a frickin’ terrorist? Oh, right it is the People’s Republic of Californication.
Why is she getting so much less than her 20 years anyway? What a disgrace to have a convicted terrorist and long-time fugitive serving only a few years.....

Its odd how they miscalculated this...I'm kinda thinkin' that they didn't, but after pressure from police and public, they found a loophole. To which I say, "yay!"

After Accomplice to murder, Plotting to blow up a police car, kidnapping Patty Hearst, Fugitive from the law for 24 years?
I’d tell her that to her face.

I agree. These were not kids from broken homes or poor neighborhoods that formed the SLA. Why the light sentence to begin with?

“She should be locked up for twenty, at least, with no early out.”
She should be shanked.

There is a poll up on CNN’s home page in regards to this. The majority of viewers think she should be free. What a surprise. Please Freep.

“Sarah Jane Olson” is her cuddly, Minnesota-nice alias. May she rot in hell.

“Olson, 61, was detained at Los Angeles International Airport” Should have taken the train.......

Not becoming? “Tough luck, b*tch” is an apt sentiment, if you’re not sanctimonious.

And the bad news is that Emily Harris, the trigger puller, will be paroled this year.

Why do they use the terms radical instead of terrorist?

Yes. We've seen how much more rude & crude Free Republic has become over the years. Before long, it'll be wallowing in the muck right alongside DU.
No standards, no graces, anymore anywhere -- not even among the self-proclaimed defenders of this civilization.
Cheers...
