If only he had just said mojado. It sounds better in Spanish.

How should I know. I'm just a typical honkey.

Good for you Mr. Laws for standing your ground. I too grew up in Southeast Texas hearing and maybe even using the very same term of endearment for anyone who swam the Rio Grand to enter our country illegally. There were other terms used as well I'm sure.

I say if the shoe fits then you must wear it! I'd tell these race pimping racist's when the likes of MALDEF and the like cease to exist then I might reconsider since these Mexican organizations are what being racist is at its very core. Until then just tell them to stick where the sun doesn't shine and mosey on down the road!!

Of course! Never under any circumstances offend a Mexican...no matter how much a Mexican may offend you.... our government is pandering to Mexicans these days and it wouldn't be politically correct...(sarc.)

Mustang Ridge is a town of about 900 people, located about 20 miles south of Austin. The area is home to several heavily Hispanic neighborhoods, the Austin American-Statesman reported.

What a load of crap! And the Austin Unamerican-Statesrag knows it too.

To call Mustang Ridge a town is a joke. There is no town, just a bunch of rural homes spread across the area on Hwy. 183 & 21 south of Austin. There are no "neighborhoods", unless you consider houses and trailer homes on the same country road to be "neighborhoods".

The only reason there is even a "town" called Mustang Ridge is to collect revenue from speeders caught by the local police!

That's right dear Freepers, Mustang Ridge is a speed trap, that is all it ever has been and all it ever will be! So if you are traveling along Hwy 21 between Bastrop and San Marcos, or on 183 between Lockhart and Austin, slow down, observe the speed limit and don't give this "town" your money!

Just another reason why newspapers are dying! It takes the worthless liberal press to generate this much "controversy" over the comments of a "council member" of a virtually nonexistent town written in the newsletter of a rural water district!
