Why can’t ole Bill get his sh*t to work on multiprocessors? IBM figured out MVS with 4 motors and common storage 45 years ago... maybe it has something to do with only hiring Paki’s , Indians and any other B1 visa dregs he can get on the cheap...

If they really want to make money MS needs to spend some time getting a business version of Vista right ... if they just hardcoded hooks to avoid unnecessary variables, deleted unneeded modules and rewrote what was left in a good compact language they’d make a mint. Of course what they would come up with would look a lot like OS/2 or Win2K Pro.

Yea it does look like fun. That was built with early 07 parts. Single core. I figure the GF benchmarks would go up with multi-core design. Their I/O throughput was not as constrained with their design as they thought.
