Enoch Powell was right.Indeed he was.
Here's a convenient link to his "Rivers of Blood" speech and related articles of the day for readers who may not be familiar with it:

Britain needs to be a little more specific; their lump-’em-all-together strategy can’t be making the Far Eastern Asians very happy.

Canon Ainsworth moved to London with his wife at the end of last year when she took up her extremely prestigious post on the Church of England's education board. The Ainsworths previously lived in Manchester where he was team rector at St Mark's, Worsley.Ping.

She said her husband was concerned publicity about the attack could fuel inter-faith tensions.Sounds like he may be suffering from a case of terminal liberalism.

The term "Asian" in Britain refers to not only Orientals but Indians, Pakastanis and Middle Easterners as wellIt's the politically correct code word used in the press to refer to Muslims - the British equivalent to the French 'Youths'.

Pakastanis, Indians and Middle Easterners in UK =Muslim.
This is just plain wrong. A substantial number of the Indians in the UK are Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis, and Jains. They aren't the ones who do this stuff. The Muslims are. Calling the perps "Asians" is the BBC way to avoid saying "Muslim".

Exactly. Indians are all those and some are Muslims. When the media calls these youths Asians, it is a euphemism for Muslims, who might be Indians, but are more likely Paakastani or some other Mid-East group.

We support you in your fight against the islamic invasion.I wish that we Yanks could do more than offer our moral support to our British Friends. Hopefully things won't get so bad that massive weapons-smuggling operations will become necessary in order for them to reclaim their country, but their Government doesn't appear to be of the opinion that there's much of a problem.

From the linked Daily Mail article:
He was left lying on the ground with deep cuts, bruising and two black eyes.
(edit)
It has regularly had windows smashed by youths - who on one occasion shouted: "This should not be a church, this should be a mosque." Canon Ainsworth, a father of four, was taken to hospital and discharged after treatment, but was readmitted after a relapse.
******************
There's nothing quite like multiple, extended hospital stays for serious trauma and head injuries to provide an opportunity and motivation for deeply reflective, philosophical thought.
I hope and pray that he will be able to recover from his physical injuries as well as his liberalism, which could easily have been a terminal case.

"This should not be a church, this should be a mosque, you should not be here."I would have used that entire quote as well as others in the title of my FR post if space had been allowed. Sadly, many of these 'news' sources dance around and studiously avoid several of the most salient facts of the matter, and one must read multiple sources in order to get a reasonably accurate picture of what happened.

Im afraid to say, only the BNP can save England now.The BNP has been so hysterically vilified by the press in the UK and elsewhere that in any 'news' story involving them you'd think that you were reading about the very worst stereotypes of the Klan.
I'm not seeing any political party in the UK that has the combination of workable, useful and appropriate ideas, the will to implement them, along with sufficient popular support to make the changes that truly need to be made.
