I see your 20 million and raise you 80 million.

Kronos,

What part of “The Russians killed 100 million in the last century.” do you not understand?

“Nonsense, the U235 core and the Plutonium core weighed less than 5 pounds each.”

Try again - the Hiroshima bomb was a uranium gun bomb that was very light and could have been transported easily by a number bombers from Berlin to Moscow and back.

Yeah, I know that about Spanalot.
But concidering possible confrontation USA-USSR I dont believe that it was possible. Well, US could nuke Moscow but than again, Russians lost 20,000,000 people allready and I dont thinkg they would surrender like Japanese did.

“Russians lost 20,000,000 people allready “

BS - your Great Patriotic War used Ukrainians and Poles as cannon fodder - Far more Ukrainians and Poles died than russians.

Eisenhower was a traitor.

Are you an idiot, or do you merely sound like one?

Your understanding of history is bizarre....and there was just one more atomic bomb remaining on August 10, 1945. It was in pieces spread far and wide geographically.

You are oblivious to the fact that we openly tested our first nuke in April...

LOL

Details please.

Ike was absolutely correct to let the commie hordes take Berlin. Why needlessly waste American lives to take an area that was already decided to be in Russian occupied zone? Besides, we still had the Japanese to worry about.

I agree with Ike’s decision not to take Berlin, but he was not ordered by Roosevelt to let the Russians take it. Ike had total authority and could have taken Berlin if he had decided to do so.

We tested our first nuke in July not April. The war in Europe was over for 2 months by the time we exploded our first nuke.

Just ignore Spanalot (Spamalot?) I think he gets most of his 'facts' from alternate history books. Have you ever seen So I Married an Axe Murderer? Remember the mom and her tabloids?
This paper contains facts. And this paper has the eighth highest circulation in the whole wide world. Right? Plenty of facts. "Pregnant man gives birth." That's a fact...Well, it's a well known fact, Sonny Jim, that there's a secret society of the five wealthiest people in the world, known as The Pentavirate, who run everything in the world, including the newspapers, and meet tri-annually at a secret country mansion in Colorado, known as The Meadows.... (Tony- So who's in this Pentavirate?)...The Queen, The Vatican, The Gettys, The Rothschilds, *and* Colonel Sanders before he went tits up. Oh, I hated the Colonel with is wee *beady* eyes, and that smug look on his face. "Oh, you're gonna buy my chicken! Ohhhhh!"...

I really boggles my mind how some people are so willing to waste American lives for no good reason. Most of the units defending Berlin were Hitler Jugend and fanatical SS units. They knew they wouldn't be treated very well if they were captured by the American's either. Most of those SS units committed unspeakable atrocities on the Russian front.

That so called ‘simple’ gun bomb that could have been ‘transported easily by a number (of) bombers’ was actually over ten feet long and weighed almost 4.5 tons. The Enola Gay had to be retrofitted in order to carry the weight and configuration of Little Boy. Little Boy alone was just about half the full carry weight of the Enola Gay- the WWII era B29 could carry a maximum of 20k lbs. Production models were not capable of carrying a single 4.5 ton bomb until around post war Korea when the fleet was upgraded to carry the T-14s. The Enola Gay was something special. This wasn’t just something any plane could have done at a moment’s notice.
