I think people have almost completely forgotten how bad things were when Reagan was elected (or they weren’t old enough yet to understand). When we talk about economic problems now, we forget what it was like to have double-digit inflation, interest rates, and unemployment rates. Any economic problems we have now are minor in comparison. And we forget about US prestige being in the toilet and the Soviets being on the march in Afghanistan.

One of the reasons conservatives are having a hard time now is that most of those problems have been fixed — by conservatives. So the public has become complacent.

Sometimes I think the public won’t wake up and turn back to conservatism until liberals get a chance to really screw things up — as they did before Reagan got elected.

Locked in leftist delusions and contradictions. You can either have a strong economy or deal with global warming. The two are mutually exclusive. The rat platform is economic disarmament through the strangulation of economic liberty. The rats will magnify the economic difficulties 10 times.

By the time November rolls around, the electorate is going to be so sick and tired of the Democrat Freakshow that the Republicans will take the Presidency and both houses of Congress by a landslide.
