Try clicking the “Brief” tab.

I clicked the "brief tab" and it keeps returning to full comments. Does it always default back to 'comments', or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks to you and John.

I think you should do a poll, otherwise you two will be overwhelmed by the whiners, instead of encouraged by those of us who like it. :)

Is there a way to ban whiners? lol

My encouragements all around.
I love coming here and finding new features.

I’m surprised that some don’t feel that way.

BTW...I’m not a young ‘un by any means. ;o)

I think all of those are coming. And the 20,000 volt zot through the cable line.

I suggest we raise an extra couple of thousand dollars during the next FReepathon so you can afford to get the three phase Deluxe model. Slightly higher installation cost but lower cost per zot, due to improved amperage jiggiwatts.

I’m a monthly donor.

Just a monthly donor? No wonder!

Weekly donors just this week got a full-time butler that holds a silver tray on which to use your computer mouse. Costs were partially subsidized in return for promotional consideration by Halliburton. The butler and silver tray provide a ground-fault circuit that acts as a lightning rod in case any zots accidentally arc across power lines and endanger the lives of any non-trolls.

If you can't afford to be a weekly donor, at least get a set of insulated flannel jammies at the local wholesale electrical store. We'd hate to lose you, Dix.

Well I see where you get your free republic name “just a dumb blonde” because I’ve never posted a vanity about the upgrades. In case you’re confused a vanity post is, in this case, the one started by Glenn. I posted one response on “his” vanity thread. Is that clear enough for you? Secondly I haven’t had the search function explained to me yet and your post is about as useful in that regard as, well, a vanity post.

Say, did you hear the one about the dumb blonde who-—

I wonder what the underlying cause of the changes was? FR has always been easy to navigate in.

WOW! COW! You’re the first one I’ve even seen who knows how to show that information (copying pix) without confusing the user. Saved it on my Mac’s Text Edit.

NOW, COW, can you tell me how you got Quix’s answer to you at 136 to show YOUR response to him at 139 without my going back and forth? Does this work with multiple replies to one post?

I don’t know, but I think the changes have all been nice improvements. Nothing has greatly changed, and navigation is easier. I think there will be less of a learning curve for newbies, which is A Good Thing.

It’s right on the front page.
Type in box and hit find, or click the word “search” on the menu and search from that page which has more options.

I was referring to the many other vanity posts that have been posted about the changes ... never said that YOU posted a vanity. For the remainder of the comments, please nevermind since you obviously do not have any sense of humor whatsoever. Sheesh.

I think the new design is looking good. I wouldn’t mind a search tab next to the ones that say Articles, Activity, Comments, and Brief.

So, let me get this straight: You can’t be happy unless the search box says “search” beside it? You are unable to deduce that that box up at the top is a search box merely by its appearance? Search boxes like that are all over the web.
