The Rodent Party is embarrassed about this. The perp and his wife hoodwinked their party. Why she continues to support her pervert husband is beyond me.

"In my opinion, he's not the kind of person who the Democratic Party and I, as chairman, can support to be a House member as a Democrat in the state of Arkansas," party chairman Bill Gwatney said.

What about Barney Frank and Alcee Hastings?

These days, he’s the best candidate for the job who’s available. None of the rest of us would lower ourselves to that level.

If there is anyone who lived in Florida in or about Bay County in the early 1960s, they will surely remember deposed Sheriff “Doc” Daffin’s famous re-election slogan, “Make your ex-Sheriff your ‘Next’ Sheriff!”

He was tossed out of office on a raft of corruption and criminal charges from graft to prostitution to moonshining along with half his force and some adjoining county co-indictees and came back swinging.

Legend is, after re-gaining office, his wife caught him in the dirty deed with his dispatcher and blew him away with his own service revolver on his own desk.

That sounds like the inspiration for “Porky’s.”

Geez, sounds like the California gubbner’s race. An open invitation for all sorts of critters to come out of the woodwork and run.

Then again, I’ll bet this district suffers from Marion Barry syndrome and just sends the felon back for a new term. You know, give a brother a second chance and so forth...

Yet another embarrassing moment in Arkansas politics. If I lived in his district, I would be happy to run against him. Unfortunately, I’m just a little too northeast of there.

Let's see if the Dem Party does anything about it, or just poor-mouths about it.

His wife is currentlly the legislature for the 39th district right now. The 39th district is basically east downtown NLR, which is the bad part of town. I happen to live in district 40. I'm not aware of any conservative living in that area.

Mrs. Dobbins is who represents the district right now. http://www.arkleg.state.ar.us .

Arkansas Ping!

I honestly can't tell if Mr. Dobbins will get re-elected or not. Most of Arkansas would ban this guy from even being dog catcher, but his district is one of the most liberal in the state! The Spitzer Scandal won't help, but then there's the fact that Bill monica Clinton, Marion setmeup Barry, Ray schoolbus Nagin, and other D-politicans were "forgiven" by dem voters. I hope a conservative runs against him just for the fun of it!

We should be even more disappointed in the Republican Party for not even attempting to field a candidate...
