Will anyone care about "Winter Soldier II"? Even Josh White at the Washington Post has given up on singing from the Murtha choir book...
Winter Soldier I was fiction. This will be too.
...the Winter Soldier Investigation. Sponsored by the Vietnam Veterans Against the War ... Without real consequences, aside from launching John Kerry's political career, the Winter Soldier Investigation was merely theater. It was much more than "merely theatre". Generally, theatre is harmless. Those people, lead by John Kerry, were dead set on doing harm. What BS.
No doubt. Though I am unsure whether this event will get media coverage or not.
I’m leaning toward “not”. The media always hides the real face of the anti-war whackadoodles.
Good article...It would be nice to see the new generation of Kerrys nailed for exaggerating, stretching the truth or out and out lying of supposed illegal activities.
I wonder if Kerry is going to get involved? Some of these 60’s type guys can’t resist the temptation to revisit the scene of their rise to power. Could be fun.
Oh, what a conundrum ... either these “Winter Soldiers” tell the “truth” and possibly go to jail for a very long time OR admit that they’re frauds and liars. What is a modern-day anti-war activitist to do??

Members of IVAW relying on the National Lawyers' Guild for legal protection should remember that the NLG is an ideological group that will likely trade a presumed propaganda victory for time in jail for the party they represent. It's the "cause" that matters, not a few broken eggs! If the NLG attorneys have not informed IVAW's testifiers of MEJA and the possible ramifications, including facing subpoena and testifying under oath, it just might be a signal for the Winter Soldiers to get a second legal opinion, or another attorney for the appeal.
Indeed, the NLG has been the legal arm of the Communist Party USA since before the 1950's.
As an OSI Special Agent in the Air Force, I saw groups like that dupe naive college students into “crossing the white line”, tresapassing on base property, during anti-nuke protests during the late 70’s. Those poor kids were devistated when they realized they were being arrested and possibly going to jail. One young lady was in tears, crying “they never told us we’d get arrested”. Handcuffs and cops with guns tended to instill reality.
Thanks for the ping RedRover, here’s a bump.
You’re welcome, fatima!
If these people had any integrity at all, why would they name themselves after kerry's treasonous band of scum?
I thought this was illegal, for a discharged serviceman to discuss specific military affairs or decisions publicly. I don’t know what it’s called, but similar to in business, how when you leave a company you sign a ‘non-disclosure’ to not reveal any projects, plans, decisions, of the company.
