“was invited when the site started, but didn’t join. It was started to give the scientific side of the discussion a place to talk about the science with interference from the creationists.”
I went there and lurked for awhile. I like the debate, although I disagreed on their viewpoint. However, many were autocratic, condescending and talked of Christians or people of Faith as if they were ignorant dumbasses drinking the “opiate of the masses”...the language of the Manifesto. I wouldn’t say some, I’d say many.

BB, I'm muting the tv until the November election is over - maybe beyond then. (except for entertainment). Politics is not any fun any more. The candidates are icky and boring and they don't make me feel safe. We'll get through somehow.

I don’t know what happened, but I know I would be sad to be banned and I’d want back on if I was.
Wouldn’t I Ken. Yes I would!

"Lets not bicker over who banned who."It's "who banned whom". On a separate note, Jim, go ahead and emancipate the Rudyites...you'll still have us Paulites upon whom to focus your un-grokked animosity.

I don’t think that Cincinnatus’ Wife was espousing liberal positons on abortions. Most of her posts pertained to S. America. I don’t think that Area 51 was particularly liberal, either.

I think I could stand to support McCain if he chose Gov Palin as his running mate, or Duncan Hunter.

The scientists who believed in evolution were shown the door first. Then most of the Rudy supporters.
Who should we kick out next, Republicans? Many of them will vote for McCain in November.
Let’s pick a favorite religious denomination and kick the rest of them out.
Think American Idol has nothing to do with conservatism? Let’s kick the people who post on that thread out.
We’ll eventually get it down to the core group of true believers who have political purity and then we can make posts with every comment being “Yeah!” or “Me, too!”
If someone dissents, ban them!

I have no problem if they want to come back. Not sure why they would though, after all, they’re liberals—so what’s the point? Why would liberals want to hang out on a conservative forum. Makes no sense. If they’ve repented of their evil ways then let’s welcome back into the fold.

I’ve been watching a succession of disaster films since Fred dropped out.
I have now moved onto bloody sword war movies. :)
