Actually, it's worse. The Hillobama plans for amnesty would actually compel congressional republicans to act like Americans and reject it outright. But the McCain amnesty would get enough fence-sitting republicans to "go maverick" and sell America out to the illegal invaders. And this would only further cement the leftward swing of the GOP to the point that we'd never again have a conservative running on our ticket for the next 20 elections.

What, the POTUS doesn't run the country all by himself? Who would have thought?

You're spot-on.

Whither Ron Paul?

Back to running for congress. He won the congressional primary for his district.

I think he wants to be Vice President.

I think he blew his chance. He came too close to embarassing mim in some of the later primaries for McCain to kiss and make up with Huckabee.

However, as you no doubt know, the electorate re-elected Bill Clinton GOP nominated Dole in ‘96, even after living through fours years of Clinton’s first term, and even after witnessing the implementation of a major portion of the Contract With America.

True, no?

Victory for global social-democratism is not a cause this conservative is interested in. I supported the war in Iraq, but this nation-building crap has got to go.

I see, so you’re for withdrawal immediately?

“nation building” is a drive by media catch phrase.

You join FR on February 14th, and you think the low republican turnout in the already decided Texas primary means a liberal will win Texas’ electoral votes in November.

God help us all.

The dumbing down of America is complete.

Well, no one can blame me, I actually voted in Texas for Fred Thompson as a protest vote. I will vote for McCain in the General, strictly because he is the only choice left that won’t let our soldiers down. As for immigration, all hope is lost.

You operate under the erroneous notion that conservatives don't like McCain because he's not a "perfect conservative." Actually, it's not that McCain isn't a "perfect conservative," it's that he's a perfect liberal.

Nobody in their right mind can honestly assert that a politician who:

  1. was party to the Gang of 14 who blocked Bush's judicial nominees,
  2. co-authored McCain-Feingold, McCain-Kennedy, McCain-Lieberman and McCain-Edwards,
  3. lead the assault on the First Amendment; denying the NRA a voice while propping up MoveOn.org,
  4. is pro-amnesty,
  5. is on the anti-business Global Warming bandwagon,
  6. is an advocate for more federal intrusion in the health care system,
  7. has Mexico's Reconquista Council's own Juan Hernandez on his staff,
  8. seeks federally-funded embryonic stem cell research (thus negating any claims of being "pro-life"),
  9. seeks to close Guantanamo Bay and give the terrorists there the same rights as American citizens,
  10. intends to deny our interrogators of the very tools that make terrorists crack,
  11. seeks to reward illegal invaders with citizenship,
  12. seeks to reward those same illegal invaders with Social Security and Medicare benefits on the American taxpayer's dime,
  13. and opposed tax cuts, claiming they only "favored the rich" (now where have we heard that line before?),
  14. and accepts funding from none other than George Soros

...is anything even remotely approximating a conservative.

Sorry, babe...what we have here is nothing but a liberal Democrat whose only distinction is that meaningless 'R' by his name.

You and I see this the same way. Unfortunately there are too many “children” who will be picking up their marbles and going home crying because they lost. To me this is an outrage.

Yes, we can never forget these two brave heroes. The choice is clear. Vote for McCain or lose the war we are currently winning.

The way McCain is treating the base of the Party: “My
democrat friends”. I’m writing in Fred Thompson.

Me, too.

I am curious to see if Fred registered.
