There are medicinal grade essential oils that do have a profound effect when used. I do not think they are a cure but the relief provided can be appreciable.
If people KNEW what was in some of these air scents they wouldn’t want their lungs near them. I know someone who worked in a factory where they made these air freshners ... bottom line - it’s not good for your lungs.
And then there’s the act of just rubbing it on a child’s chest...it’s a very tender gesture and was touching to me that my husband would do it to our children when they were young.
I believe you! Many years ago I used to smoke. Had a roommate and a parakeet. Apparently one day while I was at work, roommate got fed up with the second-hand smoke in our apartment and emptied an entire can of air freshner into the air.
I came home to find my parakeet legs up in the bottom of it’s cage. I’m not even kidding.
Yes, my little boys like getting their “chest goobers” when they have a cough. Makes the whole house smell disinfectant, but I don’t mind that.
