Investigators said an off-duty Palm Springs female police officer was in the restaurant at the time of the shooting.
Authorities have closed Military Trail at Belvedere Road while they investigate.
Traumahawk is responding to the area, WPBF reported.
More information will be posted as it becomes available.

Traumahawk must be a medical helicopter ... or 60Gunner’s alternate screenname.

My prayers go out to the people involved and their families.
Unfortunately, the anti-gun folks have more to bolster their cause every time something like this happens.
It’s not lack of gun control that’s the problem, it’s the lack of morality.

It seems every day there are shootings down here now. It’s not America here....

Our local radio just reported that one is dead and the shooter shot himself.
Actually, impressed they identified the shooter death seperate from the victim. Lately it seems as if they lump them all together.

This story could have had a happy ending, if the shooter had just shot himself FIRST.

I have always been aware of the fact that during election cycles, the number of reported acts of gun violence goes up.
Remember the AWB was instigated by number of similar incidents. McDonalds, Luby's, Columbine, even the one in England contributed to the hysteria.
What the anti-gunners expected, and did not get after VT, and now UIC, was a backlash against 'gun free zones' instead of attempts for more control over guns.
Gun-control is a loser for the Democrats, and Hill and the big O know it. They both have to answer to gunowners for their stances.
That is a huge silent majority that has yet to speak in this campaign.

Another murder suicide. I hate to say it, but the odds are good that they will discover the shooter has been taking antidepressants and stopped.
God bless the families and victims.

Actually this is barely news in South Fla. It’s been a hell hole for years now and only gets worse as the former populace keep voting....with their feet.
