I am ashamed to be french since she make this statement as she is in USA after she has just received an award in Los Angeles.
I am ashamed when she goes on repeating the same old conspiracy theory which express an old french antiamericanism...
But i am proud to be a free christian conservative loving USA
In comparison to the clueless, stupid, anti-American statements coming from American actors and celebrities, she looks like a cross between Lafayette and Pasteur.
What he said.
She simply parrots what those around her say. That makes them ALL idiots.
And ALGORE won the Nobel Peace Prize. They're both idiots.
I've seen a biography of Edith Piaf; she was a very popular French singer about 50 or 60 years ago but she had about as much brain power as a 40 watt light bulb. So this actress sounds like she was ideal to play the part of Edith Piaf.
And before anyone reminds me that both men and women are called 'actors' nowdays, let me say enough of the PC 'Baloney' - I will not dignify that twit with the proper designation for a talented person with true acting ability!
And the buildings in France? I know they were built before the friggin’ 60’s!! I’ll bet she’s hairy all over.
Yea, well consider weighing this young lady’s remakrs versus the utterly disgusting spectacle that will confront you when you go to vote on Tuesday. Her remarks speak more to her skepticism of things U.S. because as a French national she’s grown up in a cocoon where the only information she’s received is via the anti-American European press. Compare that to the revolting hordes of mindless Obamamaniacs drooling all over themselves at the polling places.
Cotillard does a far better Piaf than Page simply because she’s a better actress and she can relate to the culture, she lives it. Furthermore the screen play does a much better job of capturing the flavor of WWI and post WWI France. Ignoring great art doesn’t make it go away.
Personally, I prefer stage to cinema anyway. It is more challenging to get the proper nuances across and when done well, it easily eclipses Hollywood's productions.
I'd rather watch talented performers in a theatrical setting who just do their thing than see a bunch of prima donnas you read aabout in the news all the time, frequently in unsavory contexts, overdramatizing on a big screen.
In that we are in total agreement. I rarely watch Hollywood fare anymore prefering local stage productions and we’re quite fortunate here in Texas as there’s tremendous support for live theatre here.
What a ditz. I worked on some of the geochemical analysis of the Apollo samples, looking at rare-earth geochemistry, argon-argon and potassium-argon radiometric dating. Those samples are not only older than anything we've found here, the chemistry is different enough to make them unique. And no, you can't gin up terrestrial samples to mimic the measurements. There are too many tell-tale signs of tampering to make that possible.
Of course, trying to explain this to an airhead like that would be like talking to a block of wood.
I'm a total theater geek, particularly with musicals. Cutting edge and corny - I just love them. :-)
No matter how hot the woman, there's always someone out there tired of her sh!t.
OH LOOK, it’s a Rosie O’Donald wanna be!
Jeeze, all boobs no brains! hmm and they say blondes are dumb! humph!
True enough, but it is sometimes possible to change even the minds of airheads, by repeatedly pointing out the obvious.
So, for the ten-thousandth time,
