I think we are going to lose big time if the face of John McCains campaign is the Cunninghams of this world. Wildly hurling unconfirmed accusations instead of civilly arguing issues that are on our side is a big mistake this time around. I believe most people in this country want more out of our politics then whats gone on for the last 16 yrs. I think most of the mushy middle whose votes we have to attract are tired of Clinton style politics and BDS and will not look kindly at our side if all we do is hurl personal insults and attack a candidate who campaigns on a platform of hope and bringing people together. We have good issues to argue reducing spending, national security, how to create the climate for job growth and a plan for the future of SS. We need to keep the cost of medical care from sky rocketing more than it has and do something about our energy needs. This is whats important to the American people. We can’t beat this guy with insults and innuendo.

Cunningham shoots off his mouth too much. Hannity is nearly as bad.

Saying mean things about the opposition just for the sake of saying them is pointless.

Like criticizing Hillary's big butt and Obama's big ears.

Says NOTHING about their record, nor anything about their REAL ambitions. That in the case of either of them is too scary to contemplate.

Everytime I hear someone tell me that I need to get behind him because he’s the unofficial (as yet) nominee, I’m going to laugh in their face.

I think McCain is wise not to get into this and risk the media making him a bigot. Beleive me, the media would not let go of him if he didn’t condemn it. What’s funny is the rats find it offensive that his entire name was used...What are they afraid of? His name or the fact that the American people will associate Obama with, the likes of Udai and Qusai Hussein.

In 04, McLame had already alienated many for his stand and actions related to the POW/MIA hearings; how he and Kerry basically shut down any further investigations, berated, impugned and chastised Veteran family members and witnesses and refused to hold Vietnam’s feet to the fire in requiring concessions toward any relaxations of its tyrannical human rights abuse, much less insist on a more complete accounting of POW/MIA information.

Then, in 04, when we Vietnam Veterans began a concentrated effort to expose John “The Snake” Kerry for the backstabbing, traitorous POS he was, he basically told us to get over it, keep quiet and go away.

He also dissed and attacked the Swift Boat Vets for truth as well as John O’Neil’s book (Unfit for Command) BEFORE it was even released.

Rather than support us (or at the very least stay neutral) he came to the defense of his good “bud,” Kerry, the very same Kerry who thru his anti-war actions and antics and his ilk, had been responsible for prolonging the war thereby, protracting the suffering he and the other POW’s endured by years.

When he did this, McPain lost what little respect he had from me and many other vets and regardless of his having endured much as a POW, this in of itself could not justify his actions.

At that time (and I wish I still had it) I wrote him a 4 page letter in which I expressed my disappointment and anger towards him and the one thing I remember well is that I told him that even if he had found it in his heart to forgive and forget what Kerry had done, I could not.

Thus regardless of who ends up in the White House, I cannot bring myself to vote for him. Like W, he would probably end up being strong on National Defense and taxes. However, like Bush, he will be a disastrous RINO, with regards to every other PC issue and will end up caving to the DHIMIS even more than W has-—which is quite a lot.

Thankfully, whether or not I vote or for who, here in Vermont, is wholly irrelevant, thus, I won’t lose any sleep and whatever the outcome, will learn to adapt, go to Church more often and pray a lot for our country—God Bless It!!

Cunningham said and did nothing wrong, but this Rockefeller RINO hates conservatives and thinsk we have no choice but to vote for him. That is exaactly the attitude that will cause us not to.

McCain doesn’t like us. He has routinely shafted his conservative constituents here in Az. I was thinking of holding my nose and voting for him this fall, but the more I see him continue to snub conservatives the less likely I am to vote for him.

I will not vote for that bastard, and if we lose Texas by one vote you can blame me.
