Contrary to these juvenile losers who think degrading politics to it’s lowest common denominator is going to win elections.
You mean like McCain did when he repeatedly lied about Romney saying he wanted “timetables” to withdraw from Iraq?
Isn’t LYING about your opponent a “lowest common denominator”?
Ditto Ditto!!!!!
I Donated thousands of dollars to Bush, McTraitor will get no money and help from me,
Go Ann Coulter!!!!

I don’t expect you to agree.
But you have no right to tell me “give it a rest”.
Then again, McCain wants all conservatives to just “give it a rest”.

I think we are going to lose big time if the face of John McCains campaign is the Cunninghams of this world. Wildly hurling unconfirmed accusations instead of civilly arguing issues that are on our side is a big mistake this time around. I believe most people in this country want more out of our politics then whats gone on for the last 16 yrs. I think most of the mushy middle whose votes we have to attract are tired of Clinton style politics and BDS and will not look kindly at our side if all we do is hurl personal insults and attack a candidate who campaigns on a platform of hope and bringing people together. We have good issues to argue reducing spending, national security, how to create the climate for job growth and a plan for the future of SS. We need to keep the cost of medical care from sky rocketing more than it has and do something about our energy needs. This is whats important to the American people. We can’t beat this guy with insults and innuendo.

In a perfect p.c. world, you could be right, mimaw. Politics used to be fun and nasty—until the p.c.ers on the left got a hold of it in the ‘70s. The Cunninghams of the world are sorely missed by a lot of us, not so much because he’s a conservative (I’m probably far more to the right than he is, by the way) but because he gets people’s interest going in an otherwise B-O-R-I-N-G race with, unfortunately, the best people having dropped out (for reasons many astute FR’s have described on other threads).

in WWII, would america have elected a nazi as president (even a “moderate nazi”)?!...i think we all know the answer is a resounding “NO!”
...yet today, we are at war with muslim extremists, and so i find it surreal that america is likely to elect a muslim as president (even a “moderate muslim”)...and i have heard no one in the media even mention this angle, and why??...well, it think it’s because we have been conditioned to this politically correct crap that says that it is somehow wrong to say this
...and for those who say he is not muslim, i say do you think he was given the name of hussein (mohammed’s grandson) because he father did not bring him up as a muslim?...do you think the kid had a choice to be a jew perhaps??...and if he is not a muslim now, the question needs to be asked “why?”...was he embarassed by the muslim faith, or is he still a closet muslim?

Don’t bother rationalizing with the people suffering from McCain derangement .
This crowd just looks for any excuse to trash McCain.
Even when a unknown local talk show host looking to make a big name for himself by trying to use the new Repub party leader by putting him in a very embarrassing position.
Quite a few of these so called republicans are DU pests just here to talk the unsuspecting into staying home and letting there radical socialist win. The DU pest crowd were here in full force during the 2006 election recommending the same stupid idea.
The rest are too far gone to figure out letting a radical Dem party get control over all three branches of gov’t and a veto proof majority would destroy this country and turn into a socialist hell hole.
If you know of a cure for this disease please tell us about it.

You forgot George Felix Allen. The nut case Democrat opponent in the Virginia Senate race always used his middle name to mock him. I must have missed the outrage in the MSM when that happened. After all, they had the MACACA comment to elevate the debate. And do you remember Ann Richards nationally televised speech at the democrat convention in, I think, 1982? George HER-bert WALK-er Bush was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Blah blah blah. I don't recall the NYT's calling foul on that one.
