IIRC, Buckley called Vidal a "pink queer", and it was in response to Vidal saying that Buckley was the very image of a "Myron Breckenridge".
Myra Breckenridge was a then best-selling novel by Vidal that was about a pansexual male (Myron) who undergoes surgery to make him "female" (Myra), then has further surgery to change him back to "male".

I was recently reminded that all of William Shakespeare’s early education was conducted in Latin. WFB, I’m sure, had such a vast vocabulary because of his intellect, but also because of his immersion in Latin through his Catholic school upbringing. Rigor in a foreign language, even a “dead” one, enriches one’s native tongue. Buckley epitomized this phenomena.

Yes, I’d love to know what books he had in his library.

Yes indeed! Either of them makes for a great read, but to have her quoting him is unbeatable.

That picture of his office make me not feel so bad about the looks of my Computer room.
And Daffy, I would like to have Gore’s computer monitor system!
