That's strange. The maximum Health Premium in Ontario (created in 2004) , based on a personal $200,000 income is $900. It goes down to zero at $20,000 a year . Employer health tax ? Employers pay a payroll tax that goes to health care. Less than 1% of the payroll above $400,000/year (first 400k is exempt) . Employees pay nothing , unless they have a separate health plan provided by the employer. Which would include drugs, dental, eyeglasses etc.
btw, my ex-wife had both her knees replaced last year. She first appointment for her knees was in February , had the first knee replaced in June , the second in September. But then , she wasn't much of a wrestler.
I had mines done at St. Johns in New York, but it took me a week of recovery to get back in action.
And I thought I healed quick, lol.
They did both sides and tied everything in with mesh. I felt like a new man...
I wish some of the writers who wrote anecdotal information on their experiences would identify if they were attended through Canadian or U.S. medical systems.
All these comparisons about ‘time waiting’ mean nothing unless we know where time was spent in limbo.
Man that is scary! Like an episode from The Twilight Zone! I want the federal government to STAY OUT OF MY MEDICAL TREATMENTS!
My husband had double bypass heart surgery 3 months ago and I must say his experience with the surgeon was pretty much like this mans experience.
The BIG difference and I have to say it was HUGE is that his cardiologist told him he needed to have the bypass and it was done the next day, not 2 years later.
(As always, if you'd like ON or OFF my wrasslin' ping list, let me know)

November 19, 2003 -- DAN Aykroyd is no fan of the bureaucratic bungling and cut-rate care of socialized medicine. "One place you don't want to get sick is Quebec," the Canadian actor advised us after a screening of Denys Arcand's 'The Barbarian Invasions.' "It's all socialized. Believe me, you don't want to go to a hospital there."
Lance will probably get better advice from fellow wrestlers than he got from his “healthcare professionals”. He’s a good guy & deserved better. Hope he will have a full recovery & have it very soon.
LOL!
