“Headlines” is funny. I have a book with a whole bunch of
those typos/funny signs/odd news items, etc.
That was probably 1979, maybe 1980.
Here in VT, St. Michael's college used to have bragging rights about being listed in Playboy (1950s) as the school with the highest consumption per student.
A graduate of the school explained that back then, the drinking age was 21, and the GI Bill was in effect for the Korean war veterans, and St. Mike's had a high number of them, starting school at age 20+, so naturally the pipeline was primed with drinking/near-drinking age students as freshman.
LOL, Howie just had a 22 y/o caller who sounded a little on the tipsy side, they had to block out part of what the caller said...Howie commented that “this isn’t the morning show, you can’t swear here” LOL, then he called the kid a spackle mouth and asked someone to get some evercleanse for the guy........
Hey warsaw, how ‘bout we take a trip to the Brookstone Grill,,,,,hey, didya know,,,,,,Jay Leno’s sister in law works there,,,,,I DID NOT KNOW THAT, did you???? LOL!
Back on at the top of the hour though.
Good point about sending food back, but I've never worked in the food industry.
