If you look at the google earth shot of this location it looks like someone has been setting charges in a matrix formation. Wonder what it is? Maybe prospecting?

I felt this earthquake when I was working in Layton, UT this morning. It was weird. At first I thought a co-worker was messing with me by kicking my chair, then I decided that maybe I’m just tired and getting a little light-headed.

It wasn’t a real fast vibration, it was more like a car hitting smooth bumps at about 10 MPH. It lasted about 15 seconds. Then people started asking each other, “What was that, did we just have an earthquake?” A quick perusal of the internet showed what really happened.

Geez, I spent the first 6 weeks of this year working at the new power plant in Dunphy, NV. Stayed in Elko the first 4 weeks and the last two in Battle Mountain.

I’ll have to contact the guys from the plant and see if there was any damage.

I haven't been to Nevada for a few years and what with all the Oceans rising from Global warning and all, I just wanted to make sure.

I see it's been revised to a 6.0; below is a great example of aftershocks. Notice the oddball 'sympathy quake' near Park Valley, Utah well to the east ... it may be unrelated or it might have been triggered by the Wells shaker.
