Didn't our forefathers fight a long, bloody war to get away from fealty?
IMHO, why go with high-toned, symbolic, complicated names? "The FALCON Party" doesn't say anything. This is a startup operation. Keep the name simple, memorable and to the point.
If you asked me my political party affiliation and I replied, "The FALCON Party," would you know anymore than what you knew before you asked the question? If you asked my political party affiliation and I replied, "The Conservative Party," would you have at least a general idea of my political philosophy?
I still think "Falcon" is a poor choice for a name.
Hank-
I’ve come close to joining The CP. They’re emailing me almost daily for contributions. They’re only on 15 state ballots. That’s not a very good record in the middle of a major election year. They need $$$ as do wel all, some more than others.
I received a form email from Chuck Baldwin who I thought was running for the nomination of The CP. After writing him countless emails asking him to DISPENSE with the lauding of Ron Paul (who is staying in the GOP) and asking him to start stating his OWN case for why he should be The CP nominee, I get this form email from the good Pastor again LAUDING Ron Paul, but now OPENLY BEGGING Dr. Paul to “Come to the Casbah, to The CP!” and NOT A WORD about what Pastor Chuck would do as nominee. And THAT, my friends, tells me that Pastor Baldwin is NOT interested in the nomination himself but would PREFER to write essays about what a great man Ron Paul is ad infinitum...
If THIS is the Face of The Constitution Party, I don’t think they’re gonna get many crossovers. Why? Because our votes are precious and if a party like The CP is stuck in depression over their beloved Dr. Paul not bolting the GOP, then they are not a party to get behind, pure and simple. It’s really immature of them to sound like star-struck voters when the nation is at risk!
Fealty:
2. fidelity; faithfulness.
You left out the common use of it for the last 200 years.
That’s why Baskin Robbins has 31 flavors. You can pick one with the coolest name.
I agree...they couldn't come up with an acronym for something like "EAGLE"?!?!? Falcons are for Saudi's and Euros!!
“SECOND AMENDMENT: The 2nd Amendment is an absolute individual right.”
Thats all I need.
If you are interested to hear about my partie´s policies you can f.e. see the results of it in a thread I was creating just now:

Here is then the wikipedia article about it:

Yeah, Pissant, I checked the page of the Falcon party it shows a picture of a living falcon, but no real logo. They would need one to be succesful I would guess. But isn´t it hopeless to have a third party that in fact doesn´t just spoil their agenda in a first past the post system like yours?
Wouldn´t a pressure group be more effective, as it would of course be just as much hackle to create, but it could see actual results?
We have a proportional list system, and we have thus 4-5 different parties (63 parliment seats in one chamber), one big on the right (mine) and several smaller on the centre and left. Sadly it seems one of those is actually gaining on us, the social-democrats.
TruthConquers, it is very likely, as the west-icelanders used the falcon much, and actually still after we took up another for the country with the semi-independence of 1918, and subsequently a new one based on that when we came a republic. One part of that is though considered an eagle OR a falcon.
But it could also be the Raven, wich has old mythological significance in Viking religion and was much used.
Where you raised up in an icelandic environment, culturally and linguistically? How big portion of your ancestors (and descendants) are icelandic?
Talarðu íslensku?
With Vic gone, no chance at the playoffs etc.
Nonsense. This party, I will gurantee you, will be more dedicated to getting rid of the illegals than all others combined.
I know the guy working on that portion of the platform.
The CP (originally the "Taxpayers' Party") was created to serve as a front for the John Birch Society and the Rushdoony/Gary North "reconstruction" movement, and that's the way its leadership thinks. However, I've heard that at the grassroots there are many people who don't share this "palaeo" outlook. Many rank-and-file members are pro-Israel and it has even had some pro-Israel candidates here and there (Bob Dornan eg).
It would be nice if the CP could be taken from its Birch/reconstructionist/"palaeo" rulers and made a genuine grassroots conservative party. But this may not be possible.
Screw the rest of us, as long as you get one by "the man".
We'd have more money to buy your product/services were our tax system not set up to punish success.
Think about it...
Not exactly sure what your driving at. Do they need an official logo? Yes. Has it been developed yet? no.
So how does this differ from the Constitution Party?
But FALCON has no such ties to Birchers or anyone else. We will get quite a few CPers over to our side, I’m sure.
You cite a secondary meaning. I took the definition of fealty straight from those dictionaries. The vast majority of them define fealty as being faithful to an overlord.
Thanks for all that info, levo. All I really know about them is what I’ve heard here and there and seen on their platform....so I do appreciate anyone who can fill in my knowledge gaps about them.
But I thought the Minuteman guy was going to be their nominee? I could have sworn I read that somewhere.
Hank
