Two gray heads will not play well against the young clamoring for “change” !! Divorce will not play well among social conservatives.

There is no wife. Crist is rumored to be gay. That’s all we need.
To: anyone
Let’s start a list of all those who have been “tipped” as McCain’s running mate in the past 10 days:
I’ll start:
Huckabee (after Super Tuesday),
Tom Coburn (Tom Delay),
Romney (after his endorsement),
Pawlenty,
Crist
I thought Davix was also thrown in there...

Great. Our gay, liberal governor with a permanent sun tan as VP. Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse.
President Crist in four or eight years? Not a chance. Choosing Crist would be the final nail in the coffin.

Of course if McCain likes the easy to blackmail RINOs Lindsay Graham is another great choice.
;-)
It would be a waste to put a good conservative on this loser ticket.

It’s hard to imagine a Republican winning Florida, but of course, I live here in S. FL—Baja NY. Obama is amazingly popular down here. I have been asking my liberal friends (which means most of my friends) who they like, and they uniformly like Obama, although they all say Hillary would be ok with them too. So, regardless they will be voting Dem. My few conservative friends don’t like McCain (haven’t spoken to anyone who is planning to vote for him, except for Freepers) and they don’t seem to care for Crist, so it doesn’t seem that putting him on the ticket will help.
Of course, that is just here, it may be different in normal parts of the state.

If true, then the total of McCain & Crist is “Rino Squared”.

The thing speaks for itself. McCain, for all his obvious faults, has a conservative ranking ten times higher than Hillary or Hussein. If nothing else, think of the SCOTUS because you’ll think of little else for four or eight years, and longer, when one or more additional Ruth Baders get seated on the bench and the Court swings to the left for decades.

Yes. I often ask the same question about Lindsay “light-step” Grahamnesty.

The resign to run law is exactly why I hope he does run...I voted for the idiot. I will not make the mistake again. He will not allow any power plants to be built; Florida currently enjoys some of the cheapest electricity rates in the country. In ten years, Crist’s policys will make Florida’s rates some of the highest. He is touting solar and wind generation, both of which are not feasible now on any large scale. Don’t forget Florida in one of the fastest growing states.

We need a Governor who is pro-growth. This means tapping the Destin Dome. I would bribe all the old farts with a State program to pay some of the royalties to seasoned citizens that have been here five years plus.
