Let’s hope a “trend is developing.” I am sure our pets would ask us not to buy Chinese produced pet food products if they had voices to do so.

Trader Joe’s is by far our favorite store. This has been in the works for some time, and we have been involved with management in lobbying corporate on this issue. We congratulate TJ’s for listening to their loyal customers.

Funny, I was just complaining to the TJ store manager about this 4 months ago.

A phony move. The company I work for buys many of it's raw ingredients from China. They are sweeteners like aspertame, nutricuticals like chondrointin etc.... We do no analysis of them whatsoever. We merely keep the certificate from the shipment on file. We find metal flakes and all kinds of crap in the stuff during processing. The cost however causes the management to pull out the perpetual excuse generator.

Most all finished food goods have raw materials from China. Oils, sweeteners, flavorings, colorings, vitamin/mineral additives, processed grains, etc...

Listen, China has a population of 1.3 Billion. They abort babies and fine couples who have more than 1.5 children.
Still population keeps growing. The food is obviously not
killing them.

Yes. They can’t expect to sell in advanced markets without meeting advanced standards. That’s how trade works. China will have to grow up.
